Mr. BlindBandit Mobile

Mr. BlindBandit Mobile is the official app of Mr. Blindbandit, the blind recording artist, producer and founder of the independent label Blindbandit Records. It brings his music, practical creator tools, voice and video calls, direct messages and the Blindbandit community together in one accessible music app, designed from the first screen for people who use a screen reader.

ACCESSIBILITY, DESIGNED IN FROM THE START
Kaeleb Heck, the artist known as Mr. Blindbandit, was born blind with Leber Congenital Amaurosis (LCA). He writes, produces and releases his music with a screen reader, and that experience shapes every screen of this app.
• Screen reader friendly throughout, with TalkBack labels, headings and descriptions
• Haptic feedback for taps, calls and messages
• Optional spoken feedback for call and message status
• High contrast mode and a Reduce motion setting
• Adjustable text size for website pages, with an announcement when a page finishes loading
• Light, dark or system appearance

THE MUSIC AND THE LABEL
Mr. Blindbandit's catalogue moves between hip hop, ambient, cinematic and electronic music, with releases such as Sapphire castles, Genesis, weightless, The eternal bloom and Time flies. Blindbandit Records is the independent label he founded to release independent music on his own terms: creative control, clear credit for collaborators, and accessibility as a starting point rather than an afterthought.

COMMUNITY AND SAFETY
• Report a person or a message, and block anyone who bothers you
• An offensive-language filter for messages, switched on by default
• Community guidelines, the Trust & Safety Center and safety contacts one tap away in Settings

Its program direction includes training on assistive technology, screen readers and mobile accessibility; accessible software and app-development education; accessible music production and creative-technology education; and mentorship.
