The National Groundnuts Improvement Programme focuses on developing groundnuts varieties to meet growing demand and emerging challenges in the value chain. The programme is headed by Dr. David Kalule Okello and based at NaSSARI, Serere Distruct. Groundnut is one of the staple crops in the Uganda rich in; protein, oil and essential minerals.
