Friday prayer is obligatory upon the believers, obligatory for people who have ihtilam (wet dreams / baligh). That is based on the theorems that explicitly explain that Friday prayer is an obligation for the believers. Also based on the strong threat to those who leave it. Also due to the strong desire of the Prophet sallallaahu 'wa wa sallam to burn those who did not come to him. There is no more clear and clear hujjah (foundation) after an order from the Qur'an which includes everyone in his words:

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِذَا نُودِيَ لِلصَّلاةِ مِنْ يَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ فَاسْعَوْا إِلَى ذِكْرِ اللَّهِ

O you who believe, when called upon to pray on Friday, then hasten you to remember Allah. (Al Jumu’ah: 9)

Abu Dawud narrated the hadith from Tariq bin Shihab Radhiallahu'anhu that the Prophet Sallallaahu'alaihi wa sallam said,

اَلْجُمُعَةُ حَقٌّ وَاجِبٌ عَلَـى كُلِّ مُسْلِمٍ (فِـيْ جَمَـاعَةٍ) إِلاَّ أَرْبَعَةٌ: عَب

Friday prayer is an obligation for every Muslim [in congregation] [3] except for the four groups: slaves, women, children or sick people.
