Reminder: alarms that ring

Reminder is for the things a notification is not loud enough for. Each reminder rings like an alarm: full screen, over the lock screen, on the alarm volume, with the phone silent or asleep. If you ignore it, it comes back every 5 minutes, up to ten times, then records that it was missed and moves on to the next one.

WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT

• Irregular repeats. "Every 2 days, then 3, then 1, and again" — a rhythm calendar and clock apps cannot express. Regular intervals (daily, weekly, every 3 weeks, monthly, yearly) and one-off alarms are there too.

• Several rings a day, each with its own name. 07:00 "Warm-up", 12:30 "Main set", 21:00 "Stretch". The alarm button says what this ring is for, and shows which rings of the day are already done.

• Speak it. Tap the microphone and say "every second day at 8 and at 20 take vitamin D" in English, Romanian, Russian or Italian. The app fills in the form; you check it and save.

• Photograph it. Take a picture of a prescription, a course plan or a hand-written note. The text is read on your phone and turned into a reminder draft for you to confirm.

• Nothing to configure. Ring length, retry rhythm, postpone time and volume are fixed to sensible values. Postpone is one tap, 5 minutes, no menu to think about while an alarm rings.

• History and statistics. Every ring is recorded as done, postponed, skipped or missed, so you can see how a week or a month actually went.

• Reliable by design. Alarms are handed to Android as real alarm-clock alarms, survive reboots and battery saving, and ring even when the app has been closed.

USE IT FOR

A course of anything that runs on its own rhythm — tablets, drops, injections, physiotherapy exercises. Training plans with rest days. Plants that need water every 3 days. Contact lenses, filters, meter readings. Anything that has to happen at a time, not "sometime today".

PRIVATE

No account, no sign-in, no ads, no tracking. Everything stays on your phone; back it up to a file whenever you like. Dictation uses your phone's own speech service; scanning happens entirely on the device.

LANGUAGES

English, Romanian, Russian, Italian — for the interface and for dictation, chosen separately.

PERMISSIONS

To ring on time the app asks for notifications, "Alarms & reminders" and an exemption from battery optimisation. Without them Android delays or silences alarms. Microphone access is used only while you dictate.
