桜島降灰アラート

■ Sakurajima Ash: Have you only noticed it after it's arrived?

Sakurajima ashfall is unavoidable for those living in Kagoshima.

"I left my laundry out when I went out and it was covered in ash."

"I left the window open and my room is gritty."

"My car's windshield is completely white."

This app will notify you in advance via push notification on your smartphone when Sakurajima erupts and ash is heading towards your area.

This is an essential app for residents of Kagoshima Prefecture.

■ About Notifications

This app automatically receives and notifies you of eruption and ashfall information (disaster prevention information XML) released by the Japan Meteorological Agency.

Therefore, notifications cannot be sent without an announcement from the Japan Meteorological Agency.

If the Japan Meteorological Agency cannot confirm an eruption due to bad weather, etc., you may not receive a notification even if ashfall actually occurs.

Even in this case, if the Japan Meteorological Agency releases information later, you will be notified.

Very small plumes of smoke not announced by the Japan Meteorological Agency are not covered.
