About PadelPoint: padel scoring

Just started playing padel and the scoring is still a mystery? PadelPoint keeps it for you, and explains it while it does.

After every point you tap the half of the court belonging to the pair that won it. The app does the rest: 15, 30, 40, the golden point, the tie-break, the change of ends, who serves and from which side. Made a mistake? Undo it. The screen stays on while you play, so you never have to wake the phone between points.

THE COURT, NOT A SCOREBOARD

In the middle of the screen there is the court seen from above, just like the one you are playing on: the four players in their positions, the ball on whoever serves, the diagonal serve arrow and the receiving box highlighted. One look tells you whose turn it is.

IT EXPLAINS, IT DOES NOT ONLY COUNT

When something happens that a beginner does not know yet — the first 40-40, the tie-break, the change of ends — the app says in two lines what is going on and why. The explanations switch off when you no longer need them.

There is also a section with the rules of padel, to read at your own pace: scoring, sets and tie-breaks, serving, playing off the walls, when the ball is in and when it is out.

THE SCORE OUT LOUD

If you like, after every point the phone says the score out loud, starting with the serving pair, as they do on court. Handy when the phone is resting outside the court. It stays quiet on its own when the phone is silenced or when you are on a call.

YOUR RULES

Best of three or five sets, games per set, tie-break or no tie-break, golden point or advantages, super tie-break in the final set. The rules you usually play by are saved once and become the rules of every new match.

AFTER THE MATCH

The history keeps every match, and each one opens up point by point: you see how it went, not only how it ended. The statistics count matches, sets, games, golden points played and average duration.

Players carry over from one match to the next, each with a photo and the side they usually play on: that is what makes the statistics worth reading.

The result can be shared in three ways: as text to send in a chat, as a postcard to look at, or as a PDF sheet with the full summary, point by point.

YOU LOSE NOTHING

The match is saved while you play: if the phone dies or the app closes, you find the match where you left it. And you can export everything to a file, to keep a copy or to move your matches to another phone.

NO SURPRISES

- Free, with no ads and no in-app purchases.
- No permissions requested: it does not ask for your location, does not read your contacts, does not look at your photos. Player photos are taken by the phone's own camera app, which then hands them to PadelPoint.
- No internet access. This is not a promise: PadelPoint does not declare the network permission, and without it Android will not let the app open a connection. Your data cannot leave the phone.
- No account and no sign-up: open it and play.
- In English and Italian.

Enjoy your match.
