The application offers a unique interactive experience, designed to guide users through a geolocalized itinerary that highlights selected points of interest (POIs). Each POI is accompanied by a descriptive sheet, available in both text and audio format, which provides detailed and engaging information on the place or cultural asset represented.
A distinctive aspect of the app is the integration of advanced augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) technologies, which can be activated in specific POIs. These features allow users to view immersive multimedia objects, designed to faithfully recreate historical, artistic or environmental contexts linked to the cultural asset in question. Virtual items may include 3D reproductions of artifacts, tools or architectural elements; virtual avatars representing historical or mythological figures, interactive or animated; and virtual reconstructions of buildings, spaces or scenarios no longer existing or accessible.
The immersive approach aims to give users a realistic and at the same time emotionally engaging perception of cultural heritage, promoting greater understanding and appreciation of the historical and artistic heritage. The virtual scenarios are designed to be perfectly integrated into the surrounding environment, creating a connection between the past and the present.
Thanks to geolocalization, the application guides users along the itinerary with precise directions, ensuring a fluid and personalized experience. Furthermore, the combination of descriptions, audio and AR/VR objects makes the route accessible to a wide range of users, from curious tourists to history and art enthusiasts, to scholars and industry experts.
