About Kissa: Pixel Café

Kissa is a cozy idle cafe that lives on your Home Screen. Put the cafe in a widget in small, medium or large. It plays all day, from morning light to night. Customers come and go on a real clock, one at a time, and each one pays when they leave. Tap the gold button in the widget to collect what they left. Weather comes and goes: rain on a wet street, storms with lightning, falling leaves and petals, and snow in winter, each city in its own seasons. People walk by on the street, and now and then it's a regular from another cafe. In Showa Kissaten, tilt your iPhone and the room leans in depth. Pick today's special, and the customers who come may change. Spend coins in the Shop on decor for your cafe. Some customers become regulars, and each regular fills a page of your Book, with their name and a keepsake. No hassle, on purpose. - No ads, anywhere. Not in the widget, not in the app. - No streaks, no fail state, no daily login. Missing a week costs nothing. - Nothing speeds customers up, not even money. Everyone's cafe moves at the same pace. - No account, no sign-in, no tracking. Your cafe stays on your iPhone and plays without the internet. Watch the shift. Open your cafe for one shift and it sits in the Dynamic Island and on your Lock Screen, with a countdown to the next customer. Collect and change the special from there. Control Center. A button steps through today's special. Folded or open. On iPhone Duo, Kissa lays out to the screen it's on, the cover or the big inner screen, and its widgets sit on the cover's Home Screen. Welcome back. When you return to the app, a page shows the guests who visited while you were away. Seven cafes, each with its own street, menu, decor and regulars: - Showa Kissaten, an old Japanese coffee house. Free. - San Diego Surf Shack, a surf shack on Ocean Beach. Free. - Kyoto Machiya, an old Kyoto tea house. - Berlin Späti, a late-night corner shop in Berlin. - Kyiv Kiosk, a coffee kiosk in Kyiv. - Paris Bistro, a bistro in Montmartre. - New York Diner, a diner in Greenwich Village. Each cafe pack is a one-time purchase. The Owner's License, bought once, opens every paid cafe, including any added later. There is no subscription. Restore Purchases is in the Places tab, for a new iPhone or a reinstall. Kissa is for anyone who likes a calm pixel-art world on their phone. You never have to play every day.

What’s new

Version 1.2 · Updated October 27, 2026

A new cafe on Ocean Beach: San Diego Surf Shack, with the surf rolling in under the pier. It's open to everyone, no pack needed. The weather moves in the widget now: rain falls and splashes on the street, storms flash with lightning, and snow, leaves and petals drift down. Send your cafe to a friend as a link. They watch it live, and Places keeps the cafes friends send you. Winter comes to every cafe from 13 December to 7 January: fir garlands and lights, a paper star in Berlin, a didukh in Kyiv, a wreath in New York, and New Year pine in the Japanese cafes. It comes back every December.
