About My Daily Plate: Food Journal

A food diary that feels like a friend, not a judge. My Daily Plate is a photo food diary built on six moments a day: pre-workout, breakfast, lunch, snack, dinner and evening. Snap a photo or type a few words, and move on with your day. No food database to search, no barcodes, no guilt. WHY IT WORKS • Six meal slots with gentle reminders at the times you choose • A photo or a note is enough. "Skipped" counts too: honesty is the habit • Keep breakfast, lunch and dinner answered to build a streak • Earn badges like Three in a Row, Full House and Comeback • A weekly review story of your plates at the end of each week NEW: DRINKS AND REPEAT MEALS • Tap to count wine, beer, spirit & mixer, cocktails and more, with rough calories per drink • Set an optional weekly limit and see your alcohol-free days • Eat the same breakfast most days? Pick it from Recent in one tap PLAN YOUR WEEK, KINDLY • Make a simple if-then plan for the week ahead • When a meal goes a bit off plan, note why: hungry, tired, stressed, social or bored • See your most common reason and ideas to plan around it OPTIONAL AI MEAL ESTIMATES (PLATE PLUS) • Add a photo and a short note and get a rough estimate of calories, protein, carbs and fat • A simple balance chart on each meal • Only when you ask, and only the meal photo and note are sent • AI estimates are part of Plate Plus, monthly or yearly, with a 7-day free trial. Everything else in the app is free YOUR BODY, IN ONE PLACE • Apple Health (read-only): steps, workouts, active energy, weight, sleep, HRV and resting heart rate • Cycle tracking is opt-in and off by default • Daily weight, typed or from Health • A quick energy, mood and hunger check-in • Week trends charts with a 7-day average AN OPTIONAL DAILY GUIDE A rough idea of the energy your body uses in a day, using the Mifflin-St Jeor equation, shown as a calm gauge. Never red, never a scolding. You can skip it entirely. PRIVATE BY DESIGN • No account, no sign-up, no ads, no tracking • Your diary, weight, drinks and Apple Health data stay on your iPhone • Health data is never sent to our server or to the AI • Only when you ask for an estimate, that meal's photo and note go to our server and our AI provider to work it out. They are not stored on our server PLEASE NOTE Calorie and nutrient figures, including AI estimates, drink calories and the daily guide, are approximate and for general information only. My Daily Plate is not a medical device and does not give medical or dietary advice. If you have, or think you may have, an eating disorder or a medical condition, please talk to a doctor or a registered dietitian. What’s new

Version 1.5 · Updated October 27, 2026

Pick the whole meal, or add up its parts. - An estimate now lists the whole plate first, then the parts it is made of. Tap the plate to keep it, or tap each part you had and Complete to add them up into one total. - Changing your note asks you again instead of quietly replacing the answer you chose. - Remove puts the list back so you can pick differently. - On the Awards screen, badge progress now traces the badge's own shape.
