noShorts: No Short Videos

noShorts opens your social networks without the short-video feeds. Pick a network, sign in the way you would in a browser, and use it as usual. Reels, Shorts, the For You feed and Spotlight are taken out, so there is nothing to fall into. A short guided setup blocks the networks' own apps and sends you here when you open them. WHAT IT DOES • Opens Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Snapchat, Facebook and X inside the app, and Reddit, Bluesky and Tumblr when you add them • Hides the short-video feeds and the buttons that lead to them • Stops links to short-video feeds from opening • Gives every feed its own switch, so you decide what is hidden • Pull down to refresh, like in the apps • More options, all off until you turn them on: Stories, sponsored posts where the site marks them, like and view counts, AI features, and the page each network opens at • Blocks the networks' own apps with Screen Time, and sends you to noShorts from them • Unblocks an app for a few minutes when you need it, with a Live Activity that counts down YOUR TIME • A pause of a few seconds before a network opens • A daily limit for each network, and quiet hours at night • Grayscale, so the feeds pull less • Weekly Insights: time and opens for each network, with a CSV export • Face ID or a code, and a wait you choose, before a setting is loosened All of these stay off until you turn them on.
