KOMA Film Camera

KOMA Film Camera is a camera for shooting with a film look. The same engine as KOMA for the desktop — the film emulation plug-in for DaVinci Resolve and other hosts — runs inside your iPhone. The viewfinder shows the finished look as you shoot. LOOKS • Seventeen looks made for the iPhone screen, and the six from the desktop • Grain, halation, bleed and colour, worked out from how film behaves • GLASS: shoot through a prism or a shard of glass and see it in the viewfinder PHOTO • Photo and Portrait, with the blur set by f-number • 4:3, 3:2, 16:9 and 1:1 • Frames — gate, instant, 35mm strip, 6×6, darkroom print and more • Bring in photos and videos from your library and put a look and a frame on them VIDEO • Video and Cinematic, with sound • 16:9, 2.39:1, 1.85:1 and 4:3 — scope is recorded at its own size • ProRes and HEVC (10-bit), 4K and 1080p • Frames for video too, including a moving 35mm strip • Shoot in Apple Log with the look recorded in CONTROLS • Pinch from 0.5× to telephoto without a break • Tap to focus and expose, then drag up or down to adjust exposure • Swipe sideways for frames, up and down for aspect ratio KOMA PRO • Every look control, not only the presets • Export and import .koma — the same file the desktop KOMA reads in DaVinci Resolve and other hosts • Log + Look: record Apple Log untouched, with the look kept beside the clip • Change the look after shooting and export again from the gallery • Manual ISO, shutter, white balance and focus • False colour and zebra • Time-of-day timecode • Share without the KOMA mark • Themes: Palm Springs and Retro SLR KOMA Pro is monthly, yearly (with a free week) or one-time.
