GPS reception may fail or stop depending on the aircraft, your seat, and where the phone is placed. Once recording starts, it continues with the screen off or while you use other apps, and pauses when you close the app. Ground speed · Remaining straight-line distance · Estimated time remaining Where the GPS signal drops out, the gap is joined along the flight route and added to the flight distance.
