Choose your rules • Taiwan Mahjong: 16 tiles with Hong Kong-style additive scoring. • Guangdong Mahjong: 13 tiles, flowers, and a choice of a 1-faan or 3-faan minimum to win. Flowers are replaced after the opening deal. • Horse Mahjong: a 13-tile variant with no flowers or chows. Pungs and kongs are allowed, a zero-faan hand may win, and a self-draw reveals one bonus horse tile. A matching horse doubles the self-draw payment.
