About Mawqut: Salah Lock & Quran

At every adhan, Mawqut pauses the apps you choose until you log your prayer — then gets out of your way. Salah Lock. At each prayer you lock, the distracting apps you choose are paused by iOS Screen Time until you log the prayer, reach your time limit, or the next prayer begins. One tap on the shield for "I prayed." A 10-minute snooze right on the shield if you truly can't right now (except in strict mode), and an emergency unlock in the Lock tab if it's urgent, in every mode: never a trap. You can switch it off at any time. Prayer times, computed on your phone. 15 calculation methods plus a custom method — Muslim World League, ISNA, Umm al-Qura, Karachi, Moonsighting Committee, Diyanet, Ja'fari and more — with the later Asr (Hanafi) and the earlier Asr (Shafi'i, Maliki, Hanbali, Ja'fari), high-latitude rules for northern cities, an option to pray at three times, and per-prayer adjustments to match your local mosque. Today shows the prayer you're in and the time left in it, then the next one. In the far north it says plainly which rule Fajr and Isha use, and marks a time that falls after midnight. Nothing is downloaded and nothing is sent anywhere: it's all worked out on your device, even with no signal. Adhan. A recorded adhan for Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib and Isha and the standard notification sound for Fajr, or silent: your choice, per setting. Reminders before the adhan if you want them. The full Qur'an. The Arabic text (Tanzil, Uthmani script) alongside Pickthall's English translation of the meaning (1930), in a calm full-screen ayah feed or a classic reader with search. Read a whole juz' across surahs, pick up where you stopped, show or hide the English, copy or share any ayah as text with its reference, save ayat, share them beautifully, and have the English read aloud. Ramadan 1448. One clear time to stop eating (imsak) beside Fajr, with an adjustable margin (none by default with the Diyanet method, whose imsak already includes it), iftar at Maghrib, a khatm (Qur'an completion) plan that gives late starters a catch-up schedule, the Last Ten Nights, and an iftar countdown Live Activity on your Lock Screen and Dynamic Island. Ramadan and Eid dates are estimates: Mawqut asks whether the month has begun where you are, and your answer changes tomorrow's date, never today's. Everything else that helps you keep your prayers: a prayer log with streaks and the prayers you mark to make up (qada), private excused and travel days that never break a streak, a qibla compass showing the great-circle bearing to the Kaaba, worked out on your device, a dhikr counter, and widgets for your next prayer (with an "I prayed" button), today's five, the ayah of the day and your streak. Free forever: the whole Qur'an, every prayer-time method, Salah Lock for all five prayers with one app selection, the prayer log and streaks, the current Ramadan challenge, the dhikr counter, and small/medium widgets. We never put a paywall between you and an obligation. Mawqut+ adds up to 5 app selections with a different set of apps for each prayer, lock times up to 90 minutes and a strict mode, three more pattern-and-palette themes, unmarked share cards and ayah wallpapers, hifz (memorisation) decks, a reflection journal, the challenge archive (past Ramadans and 40-day runs), khatm plans by pages or two khatms, and Lock Screen widgets. No ads. No analytics. No account required. Your location, if you choose to share it, never leaves your device. Qur'an: Arabic text from the Tanzil Project; English translation of the meaning (Pickthall).
