AudioTales reads your picture books aloud. Photograph the pages of a book you own and, within seconds, a warm storyteller starts reading it to your child: page by page, with gentle music underneath. HOW IT WORKS • Photograph the cover, then each page, in order. AudioTales reads the words on every page for you. • Page one usually starts playing in under 20 seconds. The rest of the book is narrated while you listen. • A book's first narration pauses after three pages so you can check the words and the voice. One tap narrates the rest. ONE WARM STORYTELLER • Choose from 30 storyteller voices: a gentle one for bedtime, a bouncy one for a splashy adventure. • Tell the storyteller how to read a book in your own words ("slower and sleepier"), or let the app suggest a direction. Give a single page its own direction when it needs one. • If a word comes out wrong, fix the page's words and narrate just that page again. YOUR BOOK, IN 130+ LANGUAGES • Hear a book in the language it's written in, or translated and read in any of 130+ languages. Lovely for bilingual homes, and for grandparents who read in another language. • The words on screen change with the language. • The app's own screens are in English, Spanish and Italian. MADE FOR STORY TIME • Each page fills the screen while it's read, just as it looks in the book, and big and clear on a iPad. • Show the page's words in large, clear type to read along together. • Gentle public-domain classical music plays softly underneath, chosen for each part of the story. • A sleep timer that finishes the page before it stops, then fades the music. Or stop after 10, 20 or 30 minutes. • Every book remembers the page you stopped on. Change the reading speed any time. • Books you've played are kept on your iPhone or iPad, so they play again straight away, even without internet. • Export a whole book as one audio file for a long car journey. PRIVATE BY DESIGN • No sign-up: the app makes a private account for you, without asking for your name or email. • Your books stay in your account. There's no public library and no sharing. • No ads and no advertising trackers. • Delete a book, or your whole account and everything in it, in the app at any time. FOR THE BOOKS YOU OWN AudioTales is for parents and carers reading their own books aloud at home, the way you'd read them yourself. It works with picture books that have printed words; pages with only pictures are simply shown. The narration is made by AI with synthetic voices and can contain mistakes, so you can always correct a page. FREE TO START The free plan gives you credits every month: enough to narrate a short book and see how your family likes it. Narrating and translating use credits, and you always see the cost before you spend them. Listening again is free. For more books, the Storyteller and Family subscriptions add 500 or 1,100 credits a month. Every plan has every voice, every language and every feature. ABOUT SUBSCRIPTIONS Storyteller and Family are auto-renewing subscriptions, billed monthly or yearly. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. A subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and renewal is charged within the 24 hours before the period ends.
