About Fadecam

You know your camera roll needs cleaning up, and you have been putting it off for months. It is not that there is no time. It is that once a photo has done its job, deleting it never crosses your mind again. You only see those photos when you need them, never otherwise. So Fadecam does it the other way round. Instead of cleaning up later, you decide when you shoot. When the day passes, the shot goes on its own. [ A CAMERA FOR DISPOSABLE PHOTOS ] Some photos you keep for life. Others you need for a few days and then never again. The jacket you listed for sale, the food you shot for a review, where you parked, a receipt, a document. Clearly worth taking at the time, and worth nothing once they are done. Fadecam takes only those. Keep using your usual camera for the ones that matter. [ YOU ONLY PICK ONCE ] Pick what you are shooting and the app decides how long to keep it and where to put it. Next time it opens on whatever you used last, so if you shoot the same thing every day you pick nothing at all. Resale - 7 days. Goes into a "Fadecam" album in Photos. Food - 7 days. Same album. Parking - 1 day. Shoot the spot, pick a time, get a reminder then. Receipt - 30 days. Doc - 30 days. Grid lines to line it up. Quick - 1 day. [ THERE WHEN YOU UPLOAD, GONE WHEN YOU ARE DONE ] Resale and food shots gather in a "Fadecam" album in Photos. When another app asks you to pick a photo, just open that album. No hunting through thousands of recents. After 7 days they leave that album too. The jacket you already sold, the meal you already reviewed, is not still in your camera roll. [ EVERYTHING ELSE NEVER TOUCHES PHOTOS ] Parking, receipts, documents and quick shots stay inside the app. Your camera roll stays clean. If you ever need one of them in Photos, export it from Storage. [ FIND THEM BY PURPOSE ] Storage filters by all, quick, resale, food, parking, receipt and doc. "Where did that receipt go" is one tap. [ NOTHING IS DELETED AT ONCE ] Expired shots go to the app's trash first and wait another 7 days before they are really gone. A wrong pick can be undone. Keep time can be changed any time: 1, 7, 15, 30 days, or keep forever. [ NO INTERNET ] Photos and records never leave this phone. No account, no sign-in, no ads. The ability to send anything is simply not in the app.

What’s new

Version 2.5.0 · Updated October 25, 2026

Fadecam now opens on whatever you used last. If you shoot the same kind of photo every day, you no longer have to pick anything. There is also a new shutter for food delivery review photos. The shutter row is icons only now. Dropping the labels made the camera view wider, and tapping the bar at the top tells you where a shot is saved. English is now supported. The app follows your device language. New app icon. All of the wording has been rewritten around what you get rather than what you have to do. Fixed An ordering problem when grouping your storage by time left. A first-run tip that pointed at a button which no longer exists. A missing option in the keep-time list. Nothing changed about how photos are kept or deleted.
