About Porchlight – Halloween Map
Out trick-or-treating? Pin the houses with candy as you go, and check the map to see where other families found some. If a bowl runs dry, let everyone know. The map clears itself the morning after Halloween. FIND THE CANDY • Every candy stop glows on a spooky night map, with its address, candy level and neighbors' notes • Filter for allergy-safe (teal pumpkin) or vegan treats, and spot haunted yards at a glance • See how many neighbors confirmed a pin, and how long ago DROP A PIN • Tap "Drop a pin", then tap the house: pins go within 1 km (about half a mile) of where you are • Pick Plenty or Low, mark allergy-safe, vegan or a haunted yard, and leave a short note • Up to 15 pins per Halloween, and every pin fades the morning after • Until three days before Halloween, only you see the pins you dropped PLAN YOUR ROUTE • Add stops to your trick-or-treat route and drag them into order • Walk it with turn-by-turn walking directions • Get a notification when a stop on your route runs low or runs out • Turn on area alerts to hear when someone drops a pin near you • A reminder the day before Halloween and on the day, so the candy's ready • Tap the moon to switch on your flashlight for dark streets PRIVATE BY DESIGN No accounts, no ads, no analytics, no tracking. Pins and answers are anonymous. Your location stays on your phone, except to check where you drop a pin, to ask for walking directions, or as the center of an area alert you set. Porchlight is free. If it makes your Halloween, you can leave a tip for the makers. Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors. Walking directions by Valhalla (FOSSGIS). Questions or feedback: [email protected]
