Pax: Catholic Wisdom for Today

How is your soul today? Pax answers with the words of Scripture, the saints and the Church. Choose how you feel (anxious, afraid, tired, grateful, lonely, overwhelmed) and find quotes from the Church Fathers, the saints, the popes, the Baltimore Catechism and trusted Catholic voices, gathered for exactly that moment. EVERY QUOTE VERIFIED No invented or misattributed quotes. Each one is checked word for word against the book, document or recording it comes from, and its source is one tap away. A DAILY TRIAD FOR THE CHURCH YEAR Each day brings one Scripture verse, one saint and one teaching of the Church on a single theme, following the seasons and feasts of the liturgical year. A PRIVATE JOURNAL Open any quote, read a short reflection, and write your own response. Look back on a hard week, see what you were carrying a year ago, and notice how God has answered. Your journal stays on your device unless you turn on iCloud sync, is never read by the reflection feature, and can be locked with Face ID. WRITE BY HAND Write in chalk with your finger or an Apple Pencil. Pax reads your handwriting on your device so search can find it. PRAY THE ROSARY Tap the little cross below the Daily Triad and pray bead by bead, with today’s mysteries, a Scripture verse for each, and every prayer written out. Pray it in English, Spanish, Latin, Italian or French, or together with others over FaceTime. PRAYERS TO OUR LADY AND LITANIES The Memorare, the Litany of Loreto, and the Litanies of the Sacred Heart, St. Joseph and the Holy Name, free, word for word from approved prayer books. ON IPAD The whole chalkboard on the big screen: two pages side by side when you turn it, one comfortable column when you hold it upright. Keyboard shortcuts, more than one window, and Handoff between your iPhone and iPad. ON YOUR APPLE WATCH Pray the Rosary with the Digital Crown, read today’s Daily Triad and your favorite quotes, even without your iPhone. ON IPHONE DUO, MAC AND VISION PRO Unfold it and Pax opens into two boards, and prayers and your journal lie open like a book. Pax also runs on Mac and Apple Vision Pro. DISCERNMENT, FREE Verified words on hearing God’s call, the priesthood, religious life, marriage and the fear of saying yes, including priests of the Diocese of Lansing telling how they knew, from our podcast Before the Collar. BEFORE CONFESSION An examination of conscience, free: the commandments, the precepts of the Church and the capital sins, each with the Baltimore Catechism’s own words, for adults or kids. Nothing you tick is saved. ON YOUR HOME SCREEN Widgets and Siri bring the Daily Triad and today’s Rosary to you each morning, and a gentle daily reminder can ask how your soul is today. PAX COMPLETE Moods, Discernment, the Daily Triad, the Rosary and prayers, the examination, Ember Days and the journal are free, always.
