NSE PTO

Everything happening at North Smyrna Elementary, in one place, so parents stop piecing it together from folder papers, group chats and half remembered dates. WHY THE APP AND NOT JUST THE WEBSITE The website tells you what is happening when you go looking. The app tells you when something happens, on the one morning you did not think to look. URGENT ALERTS ON YOUR LOCK SCREEN Closures, early dismissals and safety news arrive as a push notification, so you hear it before you leave the house. This only exists in the app. TEXT ALERTS, SEPARATELY Urgent news can also reach you by text message, which is a different channel from notifications and survives a phone with notifications switched off. The app is the only place to turn text alerts on. REMIND ME ABOUT THIS ONE Open any event and set your own reminder, the day before or the morning of. Picture Day, the field trip form, the PTO meeting you keep meaning to attend. THE SCHOOL CALENDAR IN YOUR OWN CALENDAR Every date for the year: closures, breaks, Picture Day, conferences and PTO events. Tap Subscribe once and it lands in the calendar app you already use, and it keeps itself up to date as the PTO adds things. IT WORKS WHEN YOUR SIGNAL DOES NOT The app keeps the last thing it knew, so you can check the calendar in a school hallway or a parking lot with one bar, and it tells you plainly when it could not refresh rather than showing you nothing. ONLY THE GRADES YOU CARE ABOUT Follow the grades your children are in and the feed narrows to them. Nothing about your child is stored. It is a preference you set, and you can change it whenever you like. WHAT YOU HAVE ALREADY READ The app tracks what is new since you last looked, so you are not scanning the same eight messages every time. VOLUNTEERING See what the PTO needs, sign up for a shift in two taps, and keep track of what you said yes to. A WAY TO BE HEARD The Suggest tab sends an idea, an offer to help, or something we could do better, straight to the PTO board. Nobody else sees it. HAVE A LOOK BEFORE YOU SIGN IN The feed and the calendar are open to anyone. An account unlocks the parts that are yours: alerts on this phone, text alerts, the grades you follow, your calendar subscription, and volunteer sign ups. BUILT FOR PARENTS, RUN BY VOLUNTEERS The PTO is a handful of parents doing this in their own time. There are no ads, nothing is sold, and no information about any child is collected. You can delete your account and everything in it from the Settings screen at any time. Built by Threefold Studio.
