About Mahfuz: Quran Memorization

Some days Mahfuz won't give you a new page. When revision has fallen behind, a new page is where memorization starts to come apart — so the program holds it back until what you already hold is safe again. The whole app is built on that idea: memorizing a page takes a day; keeping it takes years. THE MEMORIZATION PROGRAM • A plan for each day that fits the minutes you have, with reviews first. • The new page, the recent pages and the rest of what you hold in turn — the way a hafiz is trained. • Recite from memory and count your own mistakes; the next review is timed by how it went. • Drills for look-alike verses and for where one page runs into the next. • What you hold, and how firmly — surah by surah, page by page. • Two ways in: the short surahs at your own pace, or the whole Quran. FREE, WITH NO ADS, ALWAYS • The mushaf in the 604-page Madinah layout, the Uthmani text shown unchanged. • Tajweed colours, kept only where two independent readings of the script agree. • A translation under each verse, in 14 languages. • Verse-by-verse recitation by four reciters; the page turns with the recitation. • Prayer times calculated on your phone, adjustable by the minute to match your mosque. • The adhan at prayer time, a qibla compass that corrects for true north and shows its own accuracy, a dhikr counter for after prayer, and widgets. • A home screen you arrange yourself: the next prayer and the time left, the verse of the day, a saying, the adhkar. • Morning and evening adhkar in Arabic, with a reading, the meaning and where each is narrated. • A Hijri calendar with the days of the year, a reminder before each prayer, and a note of the prayers you have prayed — no streaks. • Nearby mosques, and recitations you can download to listen offline. • A record book for a hafiz: whom you recited to, how many mistakes, and your own recordings. NOTHING REACHES US There is no account and no analytics. Your reading, your location and your progress stay on your phone — and in your own iCloud, if you turn the backup on. Prayer times are calculated on the phone. The app goes online only for what you ask of it: the recitations you play or download and, if you add the card, nearby mosques from Apple Maps. Every source — the text, the translations, the recitations, the tajweed data — is named in the app, with its licence. SUBSCRIPTION The memorization program opens with a monthly or yearly subscription, or a one-time purchase. The yearly plan begins with a 2-week free trial for eligible new subscribers. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm. A subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; manage or cancel it in your Apple Account settings.
