Raka: Family Salah

Raka helps your family or yourself pray every salah on time. After each prayer, mark who prayed with you, all on your own iPhone, so nobody else needs the app or an account. Each person has their own sticker calendar, and your family shares a weekly goal. Praying on your own? Each of the five prayers keeps its own streak. PRAY TOGETHER AS A FAMILY • When a prayer's time begins, Raka asks who's joining. Once you've prayed, tick who joined you and tap "We've prayed" to log it. • Each person has their own sticker, which lands on your family's week for every prayer they pray. • Each person has their own calendar of the prayers they've prayed, with you or on their own. • Set your family's weekly goal for praying together, and count the weeks in a row you reach it. HELP YOUR CHILDREN GROW INTO PRAYER • Raka is a tool for you, the parent. It lives on your iPhone and you do the marking, so your children don't need a phone, the app or an account. • It works like a salah chart on the fridge: each child gets a sticker for every prayer they pray. • Start each child on one or two focus prayers, often Maghrib, rather than all five at once. When they've prayed them on most days for a few weeks, Raka suggests the next prayer to add. • Only prayers that were prayed are ever marked, so no child is shown as missing one or compared with a brother or sister. • After a prayer together, Raka suggests a few words of praise to encourage them. SHORT LESSONS FROM SAKINA • Sakina, Raka's host, shares short video lessons to help parents teach prayer: where to start, getting up for Fajr, slowing down in salah, and more. • Each lesson comes with a few things to try this week, and the source of any hadith it mentions. Choose one, and Raka keeps its tip in front of you all week. • New lessons arrive as they're published. Sakina is an illustrated, AI-made character, and every lesson is reviewed by people before it's published. A CHART FOR THE FRIDGE • Print next week's chart for each person, with their name, sticker and focus prayers, or share it as a PDF. YOUR OWN PRAYERS, TOO • Each of the five prayers keeps its own streak of days in a row, so missing Fajr never wipes out Maghrib. • Missed one? Make it up, and keep your streak. • See your week and month at a glance, your strongest prayer, and the one that needs attention. PRAYER TIMES AND ALERTS • Accurate prayer times, calculated on your iPhone for where you are, with 12 calculation methods, Asr timing and per-prayer adjustments. • An alert as each prayer begins, and a reminder beforehand if you like. • Jummah on Fridays, at your mosque's time. • Pause tracking for travel or illness without losing anything. • With Raka Pro, Home and Lock Screen widgets show the next prayer and your family's week. A SKY THAT FOLLOWS YOUR DAY • Raka's screens sit under the sky of the prayer whose time it is: dawn at Fajr, the afternoon sun at Asr, the night at Isha. FEWER DISTRACTIONS, IF YOU WANT THEM • With Raka Pro, you can choose apps to set aside at prayer time on your own iPhone. They open again the moment you confirm you've prayed, and apps you choose to always allow, like your Quran app or Maps, stay open throughout. PRIVATE BY DESIGN • No account. Your location never leaves your iPhone. • Your history and your family's names are kept on your iPhone and in your own iCloud. Raka never receives them. RAKA PRO Your first family member is free. Raka Pro adds up to four more, Home and Lock Screen widgets, and app and website blocking at all five prayers and Jummah. Try it free for 14 days.
