About Paper Spurs: Chicken Squad

A storm has scattered the hens from their farm. You play the Leghorn: you wake up alone in the middle of the forest with one thought, to find the others and get back home. But by the time you make it back, the henhouse will already have a new owner. Paper Spurs is a 2D platformer made of cut paper: the hens, the critters, the trees, even the hits, which burst into confetti. Four worlds, each with its own light: the forest, the long road, the farm and the henhouse. YOUR SQUAD OF HENS You lead up to three hens: one in front and two behind who lend a hand on their own, with feathers, eggs or a whirlwind. Tap a hen's icon to put her in front, mid-run. There are seven, and each one jumps her own way: • The Leghorn glides. • The Silkie bounces off thorns unharmed. • The Brahma dives down and slams. • The Rhode Island Red rooster double-jumps and kicks with both spurs. • The Araucana dashes through the air, and her blue sprint tears through the bramble. • The Sussex spins like a whirlwind and shreds the brambles. • The Plymouth Rock charges her jump and goes higher than anyone. A BOSS AT THE END OF EVERY LEVEL In the first five levels of each world a mini-boss waits in its arena: the Fat Rat, the Snake, the Badger, the Stone Marten or the Wild Boar. In the sixth, the world boss: the Old Fox, the Road Dog, the Barn Cat and, deep inside the henhouse, the Stranger Rooster. The goal nest only appears once it falls. HITS THAT CHAIN Tap ATTACK in rhythm and your hits chain: one, two, and a finisher that leaps and comes down hard. The chain grows from world to world. And every hen has her own special move: a feather storm, a giant egg, an earthquake… UPGRADES AND 100% Spend the corn cobs you earn to upgrade each hen's attack, jump and special. Clearing a level at 100% (all the corn, all the eggs and all the critters) opens no doors: it's a challenge for whoever wants it, and the map remembers what you missed. CONTROLS YOUR WAY Fixed buttons you can move and resize, buttons that appear under your thumb, or gestures. Gamepads and keyboards work too, and in Settings you can put each action on any button you like. XR VIEW (optional) In Settings, "Camera" row, pick Normal (the usual one, default) or XR. The VIEW button unlocks the viewpoint (the game waits): you look around with one finger or by moving your iPhone or iPad, and LOCK fixes it again so you play on. It is only the camera: the game does not change. Pick it before a level starts. FREE IN FULL, OR NO BANNER All 24 levels, all 7 hens, the upgrades and the four endings are free to play. The free version shows Google ads: a banner at the top while you play a level; after you clear a level or lose your squad, a full-screen ad, at most one every 75 seconds; and, now and then, a full-screen app-open ad (1 in every 5 times you open the game, never on the day you install it). If your squad falls, you can choose to watch an ad to keep going from the same spot with your whole squad (once per attempt at a level, and only when the ad is ready); restarting the level never requires one. You're asked for permission before any ad is shown. In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland you can change your choice any time in Settings, "Ad privacy options". No Banner (one-time payment; the price is shown in the game before you confirm): removes the banner ad. The full-screen ads — after a level or a lost squad, and when you open the game — stay, and the one for "keep going from the same spot" is still optional. It gives no levels, no hens and no advantages, and there is nothing else to buy. "Restore purchase" is in Settings. NO ACCOUNTS No sign-up and no account. Your progress is saved on your device, and the whole game plays offline. In English, Spanish (Spain) and Latin American Spanish.
