About bayLURE — Fishing Forecast

Read the conditions. Tie on the right thing. bayLURE turns live conditions at your fishing spot into a bite forecast and a ranked list of lures, rigs, and bait — with the reason behind every pick. A BITE SCORE THAT KNOWS YOUR FISH • Tuned to your target species — trout, bass, redfish, and catfish don't feed at the same temperatures, and your score knows the difference • Seasonal patterns built in: pre-spawn, spawn, and the fall feed-up • Moon phase and solunar feeding windows, graded hour by hour with the best bite times highlighted • LEARNS FROM YOUR CATCHES: every fish you log tunes your forecast toward the conditions you actually catch fish in • Rivers too — live USGS streamflow, because rising or falling water can make or break a river bite LIVE CONDITIONS, HONESTLY SOURCED • Barometric pressure and its trend — the biggest bite factor • Wind, clouds, humidity, sunrise/sunset, rain chance — with a lightning warning when thunderstorms are in the forecast • Water temperature, NOAA tide predictions, and current tide movement • Animated weather radar with a 2-hour storm forecast, an animated wind overlay, NOAA nautical charts, and depth contours right on the map • Straight with you: if a data source is down, bayLURE says so instead of guessing quietly THE PLANNER • Tides & Bite: an hourly chart of the tide curve over your bite score — peak windows highlighted, tap any hour to see that moment's conditions • Bite score 0–100 for today or any of the next 6 days • Ranked lures, rigs, and bait matched to conditions, structure, clarity, species, and fishing pressure — each with rod, line, and hook advice • Inshore, freshwater, AND offshore: mahi, grouper, tuna, king mackerel, cobia, snapper, amberjack, wahoo — with where they hold in the column • Playbooks for tough, pressured water, expected fish nearby, and a link to your state's official fishing regulations WHERE TO CAST • A painted top-down sketch of your spot — dock, laydown, riprap, grass line, lily pads, oyster bar, mangroves, drop-off, current point or open flat — with the casts numbered in the order to make them and a line of advice for each, from shore or from a boat • A side profile of the depth lane to work and how to move the bait • Every one of the 56 lures, rigs and baits shown with its own picture, and today's top picks previewed right on the Plan page • Sea State graph: tide, waves, swell and current on one chart, with sunrise and sunset marked on every graph YOUR MAP, YOUR WAY • Satellite imagery to read grass lines, channels, and structure (topo toggle included), two-finger rotation, and one-tap re-centering • The map remembers your layer choices — open the app, it's set up your way • GPS, address/ZIP search, or drop a pin; save favorite spots and bayLURE reopens on the last one you viewed CATCH LOG THAT PAYS YOU BACK • Log species, gear, size, notes, and a photo — conditions attach automatically, and you can backdate catches • YOUR PATTERNS: see the conditions you really catch fish in, and get flagged when an upcoming day matches • Back up spots, presets, and catches to a file you keep • Everything stays on your device: no account, no sign-up Fish smarter mornings. bayLURE is free, supported by a single small ad. Everything above is free. bayLURE Pro adds the full 7-day forecast, unlimited saved spots, presets, and catches, and removes the ad, as a monthly or yearly subscription that renews automatically until cancelled, or a one-time lifetime unlock. What’s new

Version 1.1.1 · Updated October 26, 2026

- Where to cast. The Playbooks sheet now opens with a painted, top-down sketch of your spot: dock, laydown, riprap, grass line, lily pads, oyster bar, mangroves, drop-off, current point or open flat. A hook marks where you stand (or a boat where you sit), the casts are numbered in the order to make them with a line of advice each, and fish sit where they hold. Switch From shore / From a boat and the whole plan changes. Below it, a side profile shows the depth lane to work and how to move the bait. - Throw this shows today's top lure, rig and bait, with pictures and match scores, right on the Plan page. All 56 lures, rigs and baits now have a painted picture. - Sea State graph: tide, wave height, swell and tidal current on one chart, with direction arrows. Tap a legend item to hide or show a series; hold it for what it means. - Sunrise and sunset on every graph, to the minute, with night hours shaded. - Hold any stat tile for what the number is and why it matters on the water. - The day chips and hour dial sit above the bite score, so you can change the time with the map still in view. Graphs switch with one tap instead of a dropdown. - Wind in mph or knots (Guide > Units). - Rearrange the Plan tiles: hold one, drag, tap Done. The order is remembered. - Map: it reopens where you left it, double-tap zooms in, saved spots show as gold stars, and search now finds bait shops, stores and landmarks. - Directions open in Apple Maps or Google Maps, your choice, when both are installed. - Light mode refreshed, and larger accessibility text no longer breaks the layout. - Where you fish is your call: positions, routes and access points are suggestions, not a safety or navigation check.
