About Gaia Baby Tracker

Gaia is a free shared baby log. Everyone caring for your baby signs in to their own account and sees the same day, so nobody has to ask when the last feed was. Free. No subscription, no paywall, no premium tier, no ads. LOOKING FOR AN ALTERNATIVE TO NARA? This is the one with an import tool. Export your history from Nara Baby and bring it across — feeds, diapers, sleep, pumping, growth and milestones, with the dates and units they were recorded in. Your log is the one thing you cannot recreate, so switching should not cost it. If both parents import the same file it only lands once, and everything that follows is free. ONE LOG, EVERY CAREGIVER • Log a feed, a diaper or a nap and it is on every other phone in seconds • Start a sleep timer and your partner sees it running, and who started it — either of you can stop it • Invite a partner, a grandparent or a nanny with a six-character code • A caregiver who joins today sees everything from before they joined • More than one child, twins included • Every caregiver is free. No per-seat charge for the people helping you. WHAT IT TRACKS • Feeding — bottle by volume and type, nursing with a timer per side and a "last side" cue, solids by meal • Diapers — wet, dirty or dry, with texture, colour, blowouts and rash • Sleep — timed live or written up afterwards, and split into nights and naps rather than one useless total • Pumping — per side or one total • Apple Health, if you want it — your own nursing and pumping kept as Lactation in Cycle Tracking. Write-only, and nothing about your baby • Tummy time, milestones, temperatures and medications GROWTH, AGAINST THE REAL STANDARDS • Weight, length and head circumference plotted against the WHO Child Growth Standards — the official tables, not an approximation • Percentiles are computed on your device. No measurement is sent anywhere to produce one • Corrected age is applied for babies born early, because plotting a preterm baby at calendar age shows them below a curve they are not actually below • The age axis is scaled to how babies are actually weighed — daily in the first week, monthly after — so the newborn measurements are readable instead of stacked TRENDS YOU CAN READ • One metric per chart, never five colours in one plot • The sleep chart carries the AASM and AAP recommended range for your baby's age — and deliberately carries none under four months, because the AASM declined to publish one • Feeds, diapers and pumped volume by day, over a week, a fortnight or a month BUILT FOR 4AM • Dark mode is near-black, so the screen does not light the room • Every entry is two taps from the home screen • Works offline and syncs when you are back • On Apple Watch: log a bottle, a diaper or a sleep without picking up your phone PRIVACY, SPECIFICALLY No adverts, cross-app tracking or location requests. Optional usage analytics stay off until you enable them in Preferences. They use an installation identifier, not your name, email or baby's records. These counts are pseudonymous, not fully anonymous. Limited crash and performance diagnostics are separate. Your log is shared with caregivers you invite; we do not sell it or use it to train AI. Growth percentiles are calculated on-device. You can delete your account and its data in the app. FREE, AND NO SUBSCRIPTION Every tracker, every chart, every caregiver and every device is included, and what you are using today stays free. If Gaia ever sells anything it will be a one-off purchase for something extra that does not exist yet — never a fee for what you already have. Gaia is a record-keeping tool. It is not a medical device and diagnoses nothing. Percentiles describe where a measurement sits in a reference population; they are not a score, and only your pediatrician can say whether a trend matters.
