As the playhead crosses your marks, they become notes. The height of a stroke shapes pitch, its position shapes timing, and its color selects a voice. You can hear an idea while you draw it, then change the picture to change the music. DRAW, LISTEN, CHANGE Start with a blank sheet or open a saved loop. Pick a color and a brush, draw a line, dot, curve, or pattern, and listen to the result. Try short marks for a sparse rhythm or fill more of the canvas for a busy arrangement. Set the tempo in BPM to make a loop relaxed or energetic. Choose the number of notes per beat and adjust Swing for a different rhythmic feel. A simple change to the beat can make the same picture sound surprisingly different, so it is easy to try variations and find a groove you like. EXPLORE PITCH AND SCALE Choose a key and explore major, minor, pentatonic, blues, chromatic, and other scales. Adjust the range and octave to put the notes where they feel right, or fine-tune the pitch in cents. These controls let you experiment with music theory through sound and color. You can keep a drawing and try different settings, then listen to how a new scale, key, or register changes its character.
