Mishkat: Prayer for Travelers

Mishkat solves a problem every Muslim knows: how do you pray on time when your day isn't ordinary — on a plane, in an unfamiliar city, or between back-to-back meetings? PRAYER ON A PLANE Enter your flight once before you travel. Mishkat computes the sun's position along the actual flight path, minute by minute — not for the departure or arrival city — and accounts for cruising altitude, where the sun sets later than on the ground. For every prayer that overlaps your flight it tells you: • Pray at the airport before boarding, or after landing? • Will combining with the adjacent prayer save you praying in the air? • If the whole window is in flight: when to pray (in both cities' time and time since takeoff) and where the qibla is from your seat — to your right, behind you, ahead to your left… Alerts reach you in the air, even in airplane mode. TRAVELER MODE When you're far enough from home, Mishkat asks whether you're traveling, then: • Shows each prayer shortened, and which prayers can be combined. • Sends one "Dhuhr & Asr combined" alert instead of two, with the latest time to combine. • Counts your days of stay by your intention and school of thought (majority: 4 days; Hanafi: 15). • Summarizes traveler rulings: sunnah prayers, praying behind a resident imam, Jumu'ah, wiping over socks. It switches off automatically when you get home. PRAYERS AROUND YOUR SCHEDULE Mishkat reads your calendar on your device and places each prayer in the first free slot within its time: "Team meeting covers the start of Dhuhr — pray at 2:15 after it; the time lasts until 4:01." It reminds you the moment a meeting ends: "Your chance to pray Asr is now." NEARBY MOSQUE — WILL YOU MAKE THE IQAMAH? Mosques and prayer rooms around you, sorted by distance, with walking time and exactly when to leave to catch the congregation. EVERYTHING ELSE YOU NEED Prayer times computed on your device with your country's official method, the adhan on time even when the app is closed, qibla compass and map, authenticated adhkar, and the full Quran with a completion plan. Available in English and Arabic. PRIVACY No accounts, no ads. Your location, flights and appointments stay on your device and are never sent to a server. Calendar access is read-only. Travel rulings in the app summarize well-known scholarly positions for convenience; they are not a fatwa.
