About Sailing Atelier

Sailing Atelier is a private club for the owners and skippers of a family of blue-water cruising yachts. It keeps what its members have learned at sea, and makes it easy to find again. A fault at anchor rarely happens for the first time. Somewhere, another crew has already met it and worked it out. Sailing Atelier turns those answers into a library you can search, and puts your own yacht's record alongside it. ASK THE CLUB Describe a symptom, a part or a system and see every discussion where members met it before, with the solution that worked at the top. Questions about a country or a harbour also bring up the club's area guide, from clearing in to local hazards. When nothing fits, ask the members directly: your search becomes the question, and you are told when someone answers. ABOARD WITHOUT A SIGNAL The discussions, guides and the text of the manuals are kept on your phone, so search works at anchor and offshore. Download every manual and attachment before you leave. Anything you add without a signal waits on your phone and is sent once you are back in range. DISCUSSIONS THAT READ LIKE A LOGBOOK Each discussion leads with the answer, shows who last updated it, and lets every member say whether the fix worked on their own yacht. Add photos, PDFs and spreadsheets to a question, answer or reply. Solutions are shared and improve over time. Share one with your crew or your WhatsApp group in a single tap. THE LIBRARY Manuals chapter by chapter, step-by-step how-tos, owners' guides to the questions that keep coming back, and refit guides for the bigger decisions. Parts, equipment, manuals and discussions link to each other. Find a rigger, sailmaker or engineer near any harbour, starting with the ones other members have actually used and rated. MY YACHT Her own record in one place: - what is due, by date or by engine hours, with your own checks or ones from the library, and what was done last; - departure lists of your own to tick off before you sail, shared with your crew; - the equipment actually fitted, so parts and guides match your yacht; - the spares locker, counted against what experienced crews carry; - a private vault for surveys, certificates and yard reports. Photograph a report at the dock and it is filed before you are back aboard; - yard visits: a work list you build job by job, share with the yard by link, or send as a PDF for a quote or as a work list the yard signs off; - crew, each with their own access; - a handover that passes her record to the next owner when she is sold. THE FLEET See the other yachts in the club, and, only if their owners choose to share it, where they are sailing. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Membership is by approval: every request is checked by hand before anyone sees a member's name, a home port or a document. Discussions are never public and are not indexed by search engines. Sharing your home port and your live position are separate choices, and both are off until you turn them on. You can delete your account from within the app at any time. Sailing Atelier is independent and is not affiliated with any yacht builder. Questions, or trouble getting in? Write to [email protected]. Every message is read by a person.

What’s new

Version 1.3.0 · Updated October 9, 2026

Version 1.3 is built for life aboard, with or without a signal. - Works offline: discussions, guides and the manuals' text are kept on your phone, and search works at anchor. Download every manual and attachment for offline use from Profile. - Anything you add without a signal waits on your phone and is sent once you are back in range, never twice. - Yard visits: a compact list, edit or swipe away a job, reorder, a standard haul-out list, and a PDF for a quote or as a work list for the yard to sign off. - Maintenance: add your own checks or pick them from the library, and edit, move or delete them. Correct a log entry. - Departure lists: make your own lists to tick off before you sail, shared with your crew. - Photos and PDFs in discussions, and add your own to a question, answer or reply. - Ask the club now includes the area guides, so a question about clearing in finds the right country. - Guides open as their own page, and parts, equipment, manuals and discussions now link to each other. - Supplier ratings are shown on every card. - Edit or delete your own question or reply, and change crew roles. - A short walkthrough the first time you open a screen. - Forum links from email or messages open in the app. - Pull down to refresh, and many smaller fixes, in landscape and on iPad in particular.
