About Barebones Tuner

You picked up your instrument to play, not to get past an ad. Open Barebones Tuner and play a note. See whether it is flat or sharp, adjust, and watch the meter turn green. Use automatic chromatic note detection or choose guitar, bass, ukulele, or violin. Set A4 from 430 to 450 Hz when you need a different reference. Your stats show tuning sessions, in-tune locks, average lock time, and the last seven days of locks. No account needed. Free. No ads. No purchases in this version. Play one note at a time. This is a tuner, not a chord detector. Microphone audio is processed on your device and is never recorded or uploaded. Optional usage analytics and app-screen recordings help us improve the app; you can turn sharing off in Tuning. App interface is currently in English.
