About Khmerism Keyboard
Khmerism is a Khmer keyboard for iPhone and iPad, made for the way Khmer is written. Consonants sit on the left and vowels on the right, suggestions come from a dictionary of over 73,000 words, and Smart Mode helps put vowels and signs in the right order, so you can type Khmer quickly and correctly in any app. A LAYOUT MADE FOR KHMER - Consonants on the left and vowels on the right, for a natural left-right rhythm - Many keys show a second character in the corner: swipe up on the key, or hold it, to type it - Khmer numerals and punctuation on their own keyboard - Clear Khmer Digital lettering on every key, with no need to know a foreign layout first SMART MODE - One key changes with the consonant you just typed, so the most common letter and sign pairs take only two taps instead of a trip to the shift layer - A shortcut for the Khmer word for "I", one of the most typed words of all - Tap a vowel twice for its combined form - Sign combinations that Khmer spelling does not allow are corrected as you type - Khmer numerals stay on screen while you type them, with no jump back to the first layer WORD SUGGESTIONS - Over 73,000 Khmer words, based on the Samdech Chuon Nath dictionary, with vocabulary from Open Institute and SBBIC - Suggestions for the next word, and corrections for common misspellings - Learns the words you use most, on your device only - English suggestions and automatic capitals too ENGLISH AND EMOJI BUILT IN - Swipe across the space bar to switch between Khmer and English - A full English keyboard with its own number row - An emoji keyboard with a Recently Used tab MADE FOR LEARNERS - Key Colors: consonants, vowels, numbers and independent vowels each have their own color, a help for students and new typists - Key sounds, and light and dark appearance - The keyboard works on iPhone and iPad, upright or sideways PRIVATE BY DESIGN - Works entirely offline: the keyboard never connects to the internet - No accounts, ads, analytics or tracking. Nothing you type leaves your device - Full Access is optional. It lets the keyboard use your settings from the app, including Key Colors and Smart Mode, and remember the words it learns. Typing, suggestions and key sounds work without it EASY TO SET UP The app shows you how to add the keyboard, step by step with pictures. It also has a user guide and a place to try typing, and its own screens are in Khmer, English or Chinese. Khmerism is made by Educational Broadcasting Cambodia (EBC).
