Jiaobei: Ask, Wish & Reflect

A quiet moment to ask, wish, and reflect. Jiaobei brings traditional moon-block casting, incense wishes, fortune sticks, and cultural reading to iPhone. Available in English, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese. No app account required. SIMPLE MODE — THREE FREE TOOLS Ask: hold the cups together, release to cast, or use shake input. Explore sacred, laughing, and negative cup results. Wish: write what is on your mind or keep it private. Light incense and let it burn for 15, 30, 60, or 120 seconds. Draw: choose the Taiwan Guanyin or Hong Kong Wong Tai Sin 100-lot collection, shake the bamboo container, and read the revealed lot. Verses and interpretations are in Chinese. History: revisit and delete local casting, wish, and fortune records. These tools and their local history are free. FORMAL MODE — ONE MATTER, ONE GUIDED PROCESS Explore the Formal screen for free. Starting or continuing a ritual, or switching collections from that screen, requires monthly or lifetime access. Enter one matter, then offer incense, seek permission, draw a stick, confirm it, and read. Permission becomes available after 20 seconds; you can wait longer. The same stick needs three consecutive sacred confirmations; an unsuccessful confirmation returns you to drawing. Choose the Taiwan Guanyin or Hong Kong Wong Tai Sin collection, with original verses, imagery, editorial interpretation, and sources in Chinese. Each ritual keeps the collection chosen when it began. My Matters links rituals and follow-up entries in a timeline. Viewing, deleting, and manually backing up or restoring existing matters do not require an active subscription. Starting or continuing Formal rituals does. COLLECTIONS AND REGIONS Both available collections contain 100 lots and identify their edition and sources. With location permission, the first supported regional match can select a default collection. Taiwan is the fallback. Later travel does not automatically change your choice, and manual selection remains available. YOUR RECORDS Simple History and Formal matters are stored separately. Manually export Formal matters to iCloud Drive or another location offered by Files, then choose the file to restore. This is not automatic backup or live synchronization. Simple History, settings, and purchases are excluded. CULTURE AND EVERYDAY RITUAL Read the cultural guide, cup explanations, and classic quotations, with source references. Bundled content works offline; external links and content updates require internet access. An incense Home Screen widget is also available. MONTHLY OR LIFETIME ACCESS Both options include Formal rituals, Apple Watch hold/shake casting and transfer of cast records to the paired iPhone, four temple scenes, four cup finishes, paired Chinese cup inscriptions on iPhone, and a custom hometown moon direction. Monthly access renews automatically. Lifetime is a one-time purchase. See the purchase page and Apple confirmation sheet for the current local price and subscription period. Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account. Buying lifetime does not cancel an existing subscription. Restore purchases on compatible devices using the same Apple Account. Results are random and are not influenced by your words or purchases. Interpretations are edited by this app for cultural reading and reflection, not official temple guidance or promises of real-world outcomes. Customs vary by place.
