About Vocki

Vocki teaches everyday English words the way you learned your first ones: by seeing them. Every word is a picture. Open a deck, meet four words, then prove you know them four ways: find the picture, find the word, spell it from a pile of letters, and pick it out by ear. Get one wrong and it comes back until it sticks. A word is learned only when every step is passed. DECKS Numbers, Chess, Daily Fruits, Transport, Colors, Animals, Clothes, Vegetables and Kitchen — more than 150 words, each with its own illustration. More decks are on the way. SHORT SESSIONS Four words at a time. Finish when you like; what you stumbled on waits for next time. Pull down on the home screen, or tap the dice, for a random session from every deck. WORDS THAT STAY Learned words come back for a quick review after 3, 7, 30 and 90 days, just before they slip away. Progress shows how many are due, and a count on the Progress button tells you when it's time. TRANSLATIONS, IF YOU WANT THEM Show each word with its translation in Russian, Italian, Spanish, German or French — or switch translations off and learn from the pictures alone. The app's menus and buttons are in English, Russian, Spanish and German, following your iPhone's language. HEAR EVERY WORD Each word is spoken aloud with a phonetic transcription, so you learn how it sounds, not just how it looks. KEEP A STREAK Finish a round a day to keep your streak alive. Want a nudge? Turn on the daily reminder, pick a time, and it stays quiet on days you've already practiced. Milestones mark the big moments — your first deck, a week in a row — with a card you can share. STORIES A short "What's inside?" video on the home screen every day: a dish comes apart into its ingredients, each one named and spoken. Tap "Practice" to jump into the matching deck. SHARE A WORD Send any word to a friend as a picture card, or save it to Photos. Your progress lives on your phone. No account, no ads, nothing collected. Vocki is for beginners, travelers and anyone who wants a few more words in their pocket.
