About KanjiQ - Kanji Quiz
Most Japanese learning apps bury you in settings, schedules, and mnemonic systems before you learn a single kanji. KanjiQ skips all of that. See a picture, guess the word, move on — the way learning should actually feel. KanjiQ turns every kanji and word into a quick picture quiz. See an original illustrated scene, guess the reading or meaning, and watch it stick. No spaced-repetition settings to configure, no elaborate mnemonic system to learn first — just one card at a time. WHAT'S INSIDE • 3,707 kanji and vocabulary words covering all five JLPT levels, N5 through N1 • 1,829 original illustrations, with new ones added every update • Flexible card layout — flip between image-first or word-first at a tap • Three distinct visual themes to match how you like to study • Coins and streaks that track your progress as you go • Study specific JLPT levels or mix them all together 100% FREE Every kanji, every word, every level — unlocked from the moment you install. No subscription, no paywall, no locked content. ABOUT THE ARTWORK Every illustration is AI-generated. It's not gallery art — it's a memory anchor, purpose-built so a picture is stuck to every single kanji and word. Illustrating 1,829 scenes by hand for a free app wasn't realistic; AI made it possible to give nearly every card its own visual, and that visual is what makes the meaning stick. Illustration coverage is most complete for N5 and N4 right now, with partial coverage across N3-N1 — new illustrations are being added regularly, and every level is fully usable in the meantime.
