About Companion for Hermes Agent
Companion for Hermes Agent is a client for your own Hermes Agent dashboard. Point it at your self-hosted server, sign in, and chat with your agent from your iPhone, iPad, Mac or Apple Watch. This is an independent app. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Nous Research, and it needs a Hermes Agent server that you run yourself. WHAT YOU GET • Chat with your agent: your history, streaming replies and the tool calls it runs • Answer your agent when it asks for an approval or has a question • A thread list with pinning, archive and delete, plus your profiles and bots • Bot Mode specialists with their own chats, and group rooms on compatible Hermes dashboards • A Kanban board, when your server has the Kanban plugin turned on • Create and manage scheduled tasks, check run history and open their chats, when your server supports schedules • Browse your server's skills, manage plugins and configure MCP servers, when those features are available • Notifications when a reply finishes or your agent needs you • Share content to your agent from other apps • Continue a saved chat between iPhone, iPad and Mac with Apple Handoff • Find recent chats with Spotlight on iPhone, iPad and Mac • Ask Hermes through Siri and Shortcuts on iPhone and iPad • Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets on iPhone and iPad for chats, requests and quick actions • App Lock to require device authentication before opening your chats • An Apple Watch app to read replies and dictate an answer • Sign in with OpenID Connect or a username and password. Sign-in happens in a secure system sign-in sheet, so your password manager works • Your session tokens are kept in the system keychain and refreshed automatically PRIVACY No account with us and no advertising. The app talks to the server address you enter. Release builds also send diagnostics to a server run by the developer: app and device information, installation IDs, request timings, error details and crash reports. Crash reports include error messages, stack traces and recent app actions. Chat messages, session tokens and your server address are not collected as diagnostic fields, but error text can contain context from the operation that failed. 0.1.70 (2026-10-19) Voice conversations with Hermes on iPhone, an Activity panel that keeps the chat clear, and a phone layout that opens on your chat list. The watch can now answer approvals and questions in place. Highlights - Talk to Hermes hands-free on iPhone. Start a voice conversation from a chat. It runs as a phone call, so mute, audio route and hang-up work from the Lock Screen while approvals stay in the chat. - Activity panel. Usage, side answers and notices no longer take space above every chat. Open them from the Activity button in the chat header, or View > Inspector (⌥⌘I) on a Mac. - Chats first on phones. iPhone and Android open on your chat list, and picking a profile for a new chat no longer changes the server's active profile. - Answer from the watch. Approve a command or answer a question without leaving the conversation on your Apple Watch. - Browse what Hermes remembers. A Memory page lists each profile's learned memories, and you can edit or delete them. Added - Hold Send to record a voice message, then tap to send it with your text. - Play the agent's voice messages, with the transcript folded underneath. - Before a voice call starts, the app checks that speech is set up and offers to have Hermes fix it in the chat. - Live Activities show a short preview of a finished reply. iOS hides it when previews are off. - Chat photos open full screen on iOS, with sharing and swipe to dismiss. - The iPhone chat list has a New Chat button. - The chat shows the agent's to-do plan, session usage and output from background processes. - Tool calls show the tool's real name and a readable command. - On the watch, review a voice transcript before sending, start from editable suggestions, and see each chat's profile. Fixed - The app no longer shows a white screen after unlocking on iOS and Android. - Piper and other fallback voices play during a voice call. - Thinking stays expandable while a reply streams and after it ends. - Dragging a short chat dismisses the iOS keyboard. - The sidebar and navigation stay usable in short Mac windows.
