About Weight Journal - Health Trends

Your weight history deserves a clearer picture. Weight Journal reads the records you choose to share from Apple Health and organizes them into thoughtful charts, a calendar, personal stages and review images. Follow weight loss, maintenance, gain, or changes over time. No account, ads, community or AI advice. Your health data is processed on your device. YOUR HISTORY AT A GLANCE See your latest weight, its actual measurement date, the change since your previous reading, and the span of your available history. The overview chart always covers 30 calendar days, even when you have only a few records. CHARTS WITH MEANINGFUL DETAIL Explore 7 days, 30 days, 90 days, 1 year or all available history. Open the full-screen chart, tap or drag to inspect dates, step through recorded points, and return to the latest reading. Daily points use each recorded day's last reading. The optional 7-day average is shown separately. Longer views use clearly labeled weekly or monthly averages. Longer gaps are left disconnected, and missing days are never filled with invented measurements. Choose whether to show the average or your personal target line. A CALENDAR FOR YOUR RECORDS Browse by month, select a day, and check every available reading with its time and source. Filter sources when several devices or apps contribute data. Record counts and recorded-day counts remain distinct, so multiple readings on one day are easy to understand. PERSONAL STAGES AND GOALS Choose a real measurement as your starting point, set your own target, and follow that stage's changes. Changing a target preserves the confirmed start. End a stage to keep a local review snapshot and return to it later. Goals are personal reference points, without predicted completion dates or promised results. LOOK BACK YOUR WAY Review a week, a month, or a custom date range. Compare recorded days, averages and changes with the previous period. Period averages give each recorded day equal weight by using its last reading; missing days are not added. Current weeks and months compare matching elapsed days where possible, with the comparison range explained. SAVE A REVIEW AS A PICTURE Preview a period or stage review image, then use the system share sheet to save or share it. Nothing is published automatically. Ended-stage reviews use the snapshot saved when you finished that stage. UNITS AND OPTIONAL BODY METRICS Choose kilograms, pounds or jin. Enter your height in centimeters or feet and inches to calculate BMI on your device. If you separately allow access and Apple Health has records, you can also view existing height, body fat percentage, BMI, lean body mass and waist measurements, with dates and sources. Missing metrics are not estimated. BMI is a calculation, not a diagnosis. WIDGETS AND OPTIONAL REMINDERS Check your latest weight and measurement date from a Home Screen widget; the medium widget also shows a recent trend. Set a reminder time and weekdays if you want a regular prompt to weigh. Reminders are optional, local, and contain no weight values. Recording a weigh-in does not cancel a reminder. CLEAR HEALTH SYNC DETAILS See the last successful read, latest attempt and latest measurement as separate times, alongside your readable history range and sources. Refresh checks the currently readable records. If a read fails, existing results remain marked as not updated. GETTING STARTED You need weight records in Apple Health. Add them there manually, or use a compatible device or app that writes to Health. Open Weight Journal and allow read access. This app cannot add, edit or delete Health records. Settings, stage snapshots and widget summaries stay on your device. No account or in-app cloud migration. Removing the app removes local settings and reviews, not Apple Health records. Manage exported images where you saved them. Weight Journal is for personal records and visualization. It does not provide medical diagnosis, treatment or guaranteed weight-management outcomes.
