About Reversi: Legends of Edo

Reversi on a journey from Nihonbashi to Edo Castle: 5 famous places and 50 opponents. The AI thinks on your device: play offline to the end. From an evening at Nihonbashi to the court at Edo Castle. 50 players wait along the road, and you have 80 days. ■ The game is Reversi Place black and white on an 8×8 board. Catch a run of your opponent’s pieces between two of yours and every one turns over to your colour. Squares you may use are marked, so nothing needs learning first. When the board fills or neither side can move, the colour with more pieces wins. ■ 5 chapters, 50 matches Nihonbashi, Asakusa & Saruwaka-cho, Ryogoku, Fukagawa, Shinagawa's Black Ships to Edo Castle. Each match costs 1 to 3 days. The cleaner the win, the fewer days it takes. Reach Edo Castle within 80 days for the true ending. Go over and you carry on, but the record keeps the overrun. ■ From the first match to the Peerless of match 50 5 grades — Apprentice · Skilled Hand · Master · Best in Edo · Peerless — the opponents are ordered, weakest first. Each one has a name and a temper of their own. ■ One game finds your strength Play 1 calibration game: we read how you played and propose the match where you are evenly matched. Run it again any time. ■ The AI thinks on your device No position is sent anywhere to choose a move. Underground, in the air, out of range — the same strength. Note: these parts use the network: online matches, the leaderboard, the post-game review. Everything else, including the AI choosing its move, works with no signal. ■ Replay the game afterwards Open the game record and step back one move at a time to see where it turned. Against the on-device AI you may take back up to 3 moves per game. ■ Play people online You are paired automatically with someone near your rating. Results move your rating, which decides who you meet next. Your opponent sees your avatar and the display name you set in your profile (or an anonymous name from the server if you set none). There is no chat. Online, the moves and the result (outcome, rating) are stored on the match server. ■ The leaderboard Your rating places you on the leaderboard under your display name, or an anonymous name from the server if you set none. ■ A review of the game you just played Ask for a review in the game record and the AI explains the turning points in words. The move record is sent to the AI through our server at that moment. Nothing is sent unless you ask. ■ The opponent’s thoughts During a game your opponent speaks a short line on the board, so you can tell what it is looking at while you play. Switch “The AI’s thoughts” off in Settings and the bubble goes with it. The lines are chosen on your device from what just happened on the board — a corner taken, the end drawing near — so no position is sent. ■ What builds up Every game is recorded: your win rate and which matches you have played. 26 achievements unlock on their own once you meet the conditions. Your grade is this app’s own estimate from your games, not a rank awarded by anyone else. ■ Portrait, one hand Portrait only. The board fits the width of the screen. Sound effects and music each switch on and off with their own volume, and the opponent’s thoughts switch on and off too. ■ Ads Ads may appear between games. Every match is playable without spending anything. How far you get through the journey depends only on the games you play. ■ No sign-up No account needed. We do not collect your name, e-mail address, phone number or date of birth. There is no chat. The only text other players see is a display name. Games against the on-device AI, your settings and your achievements stay on this device. Before resetting the device, copy the journey record out as text from Settings. ■ Age rating Intended for ages 13 and up. ■ Contact [email protected] Privacy policy: https://edo.aicreonext.com/en/privacy/ Terms of use: https://edo.aicreonext.com/en/terms/
