About Life Recorder: Record the Past

Ever wished you could go back and record something that just happened? Life Recorder is a retroactive voice recorder: it listens quietly in the background and lets you save the last few minutes of audio - AFTER the moment has passed. A funny thing your kid said, a sudden idea, an important detail from a call - tap Save and it's yours. Perfect as a meeting recorder, lecture or interview recorder, or for quick voice notes and memos - like a rewind button for sound, with speech-to-text built in. HOW IT WORKS Start the recorder once. It keeps a rolling buffer of the recent past. When something worth keeping happens, save it with one tap - from the app, the notification, or the home screen widget - and the last minutes become a recording. Nothing else is kept. KEY FEATURES - Save the moment after it happens - one tap for the last 5 or 10 minutes, or any amount up to a full hour - Save from the home screen widget or straight from the notification - On-device transcription - turn any recording into text in ~100 languages, right on your phone; pick the language, or several for a recording that switches between them (automatic transcripts may contain mistakes) - Recording schedule - record only during the hours you choose and save battery - Skip silence - quiet stretches are not stored, so your buffer reaches even further back in time - iCloud backup - every recording is copied to your own iCloud and restored by itself after a reinstall - Living sound wave while recording - Waveform player - see the sound graph and drag right on it to seek - Share as video - every shared recording becomes a waveform clip that plays anywhere: WhatsApp, Instagram, email - Battery friendly - optimized to sip power while listening in the background YOUR PRIVACY COMES FIRST Everything stays on your device. Recordings never leave your device unless you turn on iCloud backup to your own iCloud, and only audio you explicitly save is kept - the rest is continuously discarded. Even transcription runs entirely on your device. GO PRO Invite a friend: when they install from your link, you both get a month of PRO free. Please respect local laws: in some places you must have the consent of everyone being recorded.
