About Nanuli: Storytime Fairy Tales

Usually you read and they listen. In Nanuli, they have a part too. Tonight's bedtime story has your child in it, by name. They are the hedgehog who is not sleepy at all, the smallest goat on the troll's bridge, the little pig who builds with bricks. They say the hero's lines, you read the rest, and then the story plays back with moving pictures and your two voices. Watch their face the first time they hear themselves. WHY NANULI? Most bedtime stories are just for listening. Here your child gets to be in one. Classic fairy tales and fables, from The Three Little Pigs to The Tortoise and the Hare, retold as short bedtime stories. You make each one together, in your own voices, so it feels like yours. And you keep it. Next year your child will sound different. The story you record tonight stays just as it is, a small memory of how they sounded at this age. HOW IT WORKS 1. Type your child's name. No sign-up, no email. 2. Pick a story. Your child plays the hero. Want them to try more parts? Give them more. Rather read it all yourself? That works too. 3. Read it aloud together, one scene at a time. The app shows whose turn it is. If your child can't read yet, whisper the line and they say it back. Right after, their line plays back, so they hear themselves at once. 4. Press play. The app puts the scene together, smooths out the voices, and the pictures move as you speak. They can watch it again as often as they like. QUESTIONS PARENTS ASK Can a three-year-old do this? Yes. You whisper, they repeat it their own way. Every line for your child is short enough to say after one whisper. The stories are made for families with a child aged 3 to 6. Do I have to do the voices? No. Read the bright text on the screen in your normal voice and tap Done. Your child's lines come in their own turn. What if they don't feel like it tonight? Tap Skip and read their line yourself. Or stop after any scene. The story waits on the shelf, and you pick up where you left off tomorrow. How long does it take? About four minutes of reading, in eight short scenes. One evening is enough. Isn't this one more screen at bedtime? The player is dark and the words are hidden unless you turn them on. No autoplay, no feed, no next episode. When the story ends, the room goes quiet. Where do the recordings go? Nowhere. There is no account. Your recordings and your child's name stay on this device unless you send them yourself, and deleting them in Settings deletes them for good. The app counts a few anonymous steps, like a story played to the end, and you can turn that off. There are no ads. Can my child play it alone? Yes. A recorded story waits on the shelf, and your child can open it and press play without you. Can grandma hear it? Yes. Save any finished story as a video or an audio file and send it to her. The video is made on your device; nothing is uploaded. Can I record a story on my own? Yes. Choose "I'll read every part myself" and it plays back in your voice. Nice for a parent who travels, or a grandparent far away. What if we cancel? The stories you have already recorded keep playing.
