About Tysha: private messenger

Tysha is a messenger that starts with a nickname you invented, not with your phone number. Get it while it is free - the free ride will not last forever. NO NUMBER, NO EMAIL, NO PASSWORD An account is a username plus 12 words generated on your device. We never see them and store them nowhere. There is another side to that: lose the words and nobody can restore the account, us included. INTRODUCTIONS BY A ONE-TIME CODE Contacts come only from invitations. The app never reads your address book, there is no people search, and nobody can find you by number - there is nothing to search by. A code stops working once used, or after 15 minutes. ENCRYPTED ON THE DEVICES Messages and calls are encrypted on the devices themselves: the libsignal library, PQXDH key agreement (X25519 + ML-KEM-1024), Double Ratchet. Keys are created on the device and never leave it. IPHONE AND IPAD Tysha runs on iPhone and iPad. A second device is linked to your account with a code from the main one; every device has its own keys, and they never leave it. The main device manages the account, and a linked one can be unlinked at any time. All your conversations stay encrypted. Security does not break. WHAT THE SERVER GETS A sealed envelope: bytes, size, time and a queue address - 32 random bytes with no link to your username. It never sees text, files, the sound of a call or an address book. No ads, no third-party analytics, no profiling. WHAT IS INSIDE - disappearing messages, from 30 seconds to four weeks - view once for photos and video - delete for both sides, not just your own copy - voice messages, files up to 64 MB, reactions, replies, edits - voice and video calls: relayed by default, so the other side never sees your IP address - group calls for up to five people, each pair encrypted separately - quick replies to an incoming call - a new glass look and alternative app icons - small groups with sender keys - a Face ID lock and a wipe after too many wrong codes - your own ringtone, 12- or 24-hour clock, Ukrainian and English WHAT IT COSTS Free for now. No ads, no in-app purchases, no subscriptions. So get it while the ride is free - it will not stay free forever. WHAT WE DO NOT PROMISE The lock protects the screens; it does not re-encrypt the store. A screenshot notice cannot stop someone photographing the screen. Disappearing messages cannot stop someone copying the text first. Each of these limits is stated inside the app itself. What’s new

Version 1.8.0 · Updated October 19, 2026

Share your screen - and everyone sees exactly what you see. • Screen sharing from iPad - in one-to-one and group calls. Your camera stays on, and text on the screen stays sharp. • Group calls now have four modes: Grid, Fill, Presentation and Full frame. Whoever is speaking gets a green outline. • Drag the participants strip to any edge or tuck it away so it doesn't get in the way. • Swipe down to hide the call buttons and swipe up to bring them back - the mic and camera stay within reach. • If someone takes a screenshot during a call, everyone sees a banner. • Joined a group call from another of your devices? It moves there - no echo, no double tiles. • "Erase everything" now lives in the app icon menu: slide to confirm, and Tysha erases your messages on all your devices, and one-to-one chats on the other side too. You see every step until your devices report back. • Reactions without limits: any emoji, recent ones on top, and you decide what goes in the quick row above a message. • Delete a chat your way: just here, on all your devices, or for both of you. • Videos start right away and with sound. Put your own window in any of six spots during a call, and in group video calls people with their camera on come first. • A chat opens right at the latest message and scrolls from the first touch. • PDFs and documents shared from other apps arrive as files, not links. • If messages between two phones get out of sync, Tysha fixes it on its own and resends what was missed. • When a new version is out, Tysha will quietly let you know. No daily nagging. Security • A fresh install no longer picks up the previous one's keys, and erasing also removes your photo and name. • Your identity key is stored separately and only opens on an unlocked phone. • The notification extension can only add to the shared storage - it cannot read it. • Before "Erase everything", Tysha asks for your passcode by default if you have one.
