Illuminant Schoolhouse

Illuminant Schoolhouse is the office staff for your homeschool. Enter each course as a list of lessons, check things off every day, and the attendance, hours, portfolio, and the papers your state asks for are already done. PLAN ONCE • Photograph a curriculum's table of contents and it becomes a course. Or paste a list, import a spreadsheet, or generate numbered lessons. • Pick how each course meets: every school day, Monday-Wednesday-Friday, three times a week, two lessons a day, one term only, or as a loop (art, music, poetry, handicrafts: whatever is next happens next). • School years from templates with holidays and terms. Family courses shared by every child. Fixed events for co-op, tutors, and sports. THE PLAN SURVIVES REAL LIFE • Missed a day? Bump. Unfinished lessons move forward; finished and pinned lessons stay put. • Every course shows Ahead, On pace, Behind, or Won't finish, with the date it ends at the current rate. • Pin a lesson to the day it has to happen. Change a rule or a day off and only future dates move. CHECK THINGS OFF EVERY DAY • Each student's list is waiting on the Home tab. Tap the circle when something is done. That one tap is the attendance record, the hours record, and the lesson log. • Partial, skip, notes, timers, and photos of the work, right on the lesson. • Routines for memory work, read-aloud, and practice. A morning summary and a Sunday reminder. Home Screen widgets. Siri and Shortcuts. THE RECORDS WRITE THEMSELVES • Attendance with half days, away days, and a full-day rule. • Hours by subject, core and non-core, at home and away. • A portfolio of photos and notes filed by student and subject. A reading log with barcode scan. Assessments and activities. EVERY STATE, IN PLAIN WORDS • All 50 states and Washington, D.C. Pick your state and how you homeschool there, and the year is set up to match: school days, hours, and required subjects. • A plain guide to your state's notice, days or hours, subjects, tests, and records, with this year's dates and links to the law. Free. • Reminders before each notice, test, and report is due, and a "Coming up" card on Home. Free. • A compliance check for each student measures the year so far against your state's rules: met, on track, behind, or due soon. PRINT WHAT YOUR STATE ASKS FOR • The papers your state asks for, filled in from your records: notice of intent letters, the answers for your state's form, requirement logs, progress reports, test records, evaluator letters, and withdrawal letters. • Attendance calendar, hours by subject, lesson log, reading list, and portfolio book, for any state. • New York quarterly report and IHIP. Pennsylvania evaluator summary. Missouri hours log. • Share, print, or save as PDF, on US Letter or A4. STUDENT MODE • Hand over the iPad. Your child gets a locked checklist with big check circles, timers, and a small celebration when the day is done. Leaving takes the family PIN, or your Face ID if you turn it on. YOUR RECORDS ARE YOURS • No accounts, no ads, no tracking. Records sync through your own iCloud across your iPhone and iPad. • One-file backup and restore, free on every plan. Nothing you enter is ever locked away. FREE AND PRO Free is the whole planner for one student, forever.
