GoUpTower

GoUpTower is made for wind turbine technicians — the people who climb the tower, work the rotation and keep their tickets in date. It is the companion to gouptower.com. Same account, same data, both places. WIND WHERE YOU ARE The wind at your location at the top of Home: speed, gusts, temperature, direction and your own limit. A Home Screen widget, storm warnings, and an alert when gusts above your limit are forecast. LIVE TIME TRACKER Clock in and out on site, choosing the task and the rotation it belongs to. The running clock stays on your Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island with a Stop button, so a session can be closed without unlocking the phone. Hours land in your timesheet and add up by week and month. ROTATION PLANNER Your rotation plan as a month calendar, with coloured bars for work, standby, home, holiday and training. Drag a bar to move the whole rotation, or drag either end to change how long it runs. A list view shows days on and days home for the year. AIRPORTS — NEW Flying to site? 430 airports in 20 European countries, checked every 10 minutes for strikes, closures, thunderstorms, fog, gales and delays, on a map and as a list of what is wrong right now. Find an airport by code, city or name, or the ones nearest to you. Open one for its live alerts, the weather now and what is forecast, a simple terminal guide — check-in, security, bag drop, baggage reclaim, gates — and the car rental desks with their phone and e-mail. News reports link to the publisher and are marked as not confirmed by the airport. CAR RENTAL A pick-up and a return checklist for your hire car, with photos at every step: your proof if the company finds a scratch later. Fill in the make, plate and mileage from a photo of the key tag — read on your iPhone and not kept. Every rental stays in your history, ready to share. PACKING LIST Everything for the trip to site on one list, with a reminder the day before a rotation starts or ends — and to check in, if you fly to work. JOB BOARD Wind jobs with the filters that matter: onshore or offshore, OEM, GWO tickets, employment form and rotation. Browsing is free for everyone. CERTIFICATES Keep GWO and every other ticket in one place, with a reminder before one expires — the thing that quietly stops you working. EDUCATION HUB — WORKS OFFLINE How a turbine makes power, what each GWO module covers, a plain-language dictionary of the acronyms in a work order, and a map of wind projects. Saved on your phone, so it opens in a nacelle with no signal. WIND FARM BUILDER A game for the crew room: take your GWO course, build a wind farm onshore or offshore, and rise from technician to site manager. SAFETY BOOK — WORKS OFFLINE Working at height, rescue, isolation, risk assessment, weather limits, lifting, fire, offshore transfer and long-term health, chapter by chapter. EMERGENCY First aid for what happens up a tower, and the nearest defibrillators and hospitals on a map. CV BUILDER Build a technician CV from your profile and certificates, export it as a PDF, and share a link that stays current as your tickets change. PLANS The airport map and alerts are free for everyone. Basic is free with an account: Job Board, Certificates, Education Hub, Safety Book, Emergency, the CV Builder, car rental checks, the packing list and five airports a day in full. PRO adds the rotation planner, the training provider map and every airport in full. Advanced adds the Live Time Tracker and timesheets.
