Bring everyday Chinese learning and language tools together in one box. HanBox is designed for Chinese-speaking families, Chinese teachers and people who use Chinese in daily life. No account, ads or in-app purchases. Text processing and calendar calculations run locally on your device. READ CHINESE • Add aligned pinyin to Chinese text, choose alternative readings for characters with multiple pronunciations, and copy the results. • Extract text from a photo or selected image using on-device recognition on iOS 16 or later, then add pinyin. • Look up character readings, stroke counts and radicals, and save favorites. • Browse a small starter collection of 24 Chinese idioms. CREATE PRACTICE MATERIALS • Make handwriting worksheets with square or diagonal grids, pinyin, tracing characters or blank cells. Export PDF or image files. • Practice dictation with custom word lists, speaking speed, repetitions and intervals. Self-assess and review past results. Playback uses available Chinese system voices; ensure a Chinese voice is downloaded before offline use. • Generate arithmetic worksheets at different difficulty levels, show answers, and export PDF or image files for printing. Favorites, birthday entries and dictation records stay on your device. Export or clear your local data in Settings. No registration or cloud sync. The app interface is currently in Simplified Chinese. Traditional Chinese text conversion is supported. Review pinyin and recognition results in context.
