Music Memo: Song Idea Recorder

Record a song idea in one tap. Music Memo finds its key, BPM, structure and instruments right on your iPhone, and now lets you record along with any memo, backing track or Apple Music song. Every song starts as a hum in the kitchen or a riff at 1 AM. Music Memo catches those moments and, unlike a plain voice memo, actually understands them. RECORD IN ONE TAP Open the app, tap the red button, and play. The take is saved straight to your library, named for you if you don't stop to type. NEW: RECORD ALONG Lay a new take over any memo, an imported backing track, or a song from Apple Music. Pick the part to start from, add a one-bar count-in or a pre-roll, and play. Only your microphone is recorded, and every take remembers what it was recorded along with. A track's page lists every take recorded over it, so the verse, the harmony and the bass line stay together. KNOWS YOUR MUSIC The moment you stop recording, analysis begins. Music Memo detects: • Tempo in BPM, with one-tap half- and double-time correction • Key, major or minor • Song structure, mapped into tappable sections • Instruments, from guitar and piano to drums and vocals No servers involved. Everything runs on your iPhone. FIND IT AGAIN A library of 200 untitled voice memos is where ideas go to die. Here you can search by title, BPM, key or instrument, or filter down to guitar ideas in E minor around 120 BPM. FIND SIMILAR Every memo shows other takes in the same key family and a compatible tempo, including half and double time. The chorus you hummed in March finds today's verse on its own. BUILT FOR THE WAY MUSICIANS WORK Jump straight to the loudest bar or the moment the vocals come in. Correct the detected tempo or key when your ear disagrees. Scrub a take by its loudness instead of a blind timeline. Import voice memos, audio files and your own backing tracks. Share any take to your DAW, AirDrop it to your Mac, or send it to a bandmate. PRIVATE BY DESIGN No account. No analytics. No tracking. Recordings stay on your device and sync through your own iCloud to your other devices. Nobody else ever hears your rough takes. Recording along with Apple Music requires an active Apple Music subscription. Use headphones to keep the backing out of your take. Whether you write songs, play in a band, teach, or hum ideas on your commute, this is the notebook your music deserves. Record the idea now. Find it when you need it.
