yDog Field Meter and Navigator

About yDog Field Meter and Navigator

The yDog speaks. In your language (english, spanish, french, german), it tells you the points of the compass, where your destination is -- "destination ahead, 235 meters" -- when you have arrived, when the connection to the phone is lost and how to navigate back, and when it is charging. Safety while exploring in the wilderness is of utmost importance. Every walk starts with a way back. The point where you switch the yDog on becomes its destination, so if you lose the phone or its connection, the yDog alone can guide you back. This is especially easy if the yDog has the GPS module. Even without the module in the yDog the app updates the yDog with the current position so that it can navigate by dead reckoning if the phone dies. Even with all these safety features, you can easily choose to ignore them and they will let you use the yDog normally with no further disturbance. Photos, voice, and notes can be added to your GPS points and reminders. The photos are organized into albums of a gallery corresponding to how you have organized your records into groups. Track: satellite imagery under the map, downloadable for use in the field without cell service; choose which routes to draw; share a route as a ZIP with its photos and audio, or as an MP4 that walks the route and plays the photos and audios of each point along the route. Import KML, KMZ, ZIP and CSV, for sharing yDog records with your other devices or friends who have a yDog. ySpec: the calibration lines follow the peaks when the yDog's gain has changed to make decay chain (U238 or Th232) identification more reliable. Many other improvements to make using the app easier and more versatile.
