About Kopiyka Budget
Kopiyka Budget keeps your money on your phone. No account, no server, no ads, no trackers, no subscription. It is free now and it stays free. Everything you enter belongs to you: export the lot as CSV, as a full JSON backup, or as one ZIP that carries your receipt photos with it. A copy is written to your own iCloud Drive every day, and you can restore from it whenever you want. Logging is meant to take two taps. The entry sheet opens on a calculator keypad: type the amount, with Category and Tags on the keys beside it, then one tap to add. The same keypad is on your Apple Watch, and Siri can add an entry without opening the app. WHAT IS IN IT - Budgets for a category, a folder, a tag or for everything, in a month that starts on your payday rather than on the 1st. - Several accounts in several currencies (cash, bank, card, savings, investment), with net worth and transfers. Exchange rates come from the European Central Bank, kept day by day, so an old transfer still converts correctly. - Recurring payments: a subscription posts itself on the day and tells you it did, while the ones whose amount moves around wait for your tap. Kopiyka also spots repeats in your history and offers to make rules from them. - Categories inside folders, each with its own icon and colour, and tags that can be limited to the categories they make sense for. - Insights you pick yourself: free to spend, days until salary, savings goals, a payments checklist, subscriptions per year, upcoming payments. - Trips & Events: name a trip or an event (a birthday, a wedding), give it a budget and its days, and every new expense is tagged and counted against it, in whatever currency you spend, and kept out of your monthly budgets. - Debts, so you know who owes whom, with a reminder before the due date. - A category suggested from where you are: buy coffee at the same place twice and the third time it is filled in. Your location never leaves the phone. - Receipt photos on any entry, backed up beside your data. - An Apple Watch app with the keypad, today's entries and your budgets: approve pending payments, add a note by voice, and start from a complication or a Control Center control. - In English and Ukrainian. BANK NOTIFICATIONS (BETA) iOS never hands card transactions to an app. What it does allow is a Shortcuts automation: when your bank notifies you about a payment, it passes the notification to Kopiyka, which reads the amount, the shop, the card and the time out of the text on the device, silently, with the app closed. The entry waits in Pending until you approve it, on the phone or on your watch, and what the bank said stays beside it, apart from your own note. Settings walks you through the setup once. Kopiyka is open source. No analytics, no trackers, no third-party SDKs: nothing is collected and nothing is sent anywhere. Kopiyka is a record-keeping tool, not financial, tax or investment advice.
What’s new
Version 1.1.0 · Updated October 21, 2026
Events: a birthday, a wedding or a night out gets its own budget, like a trip, and stays out of your monthly budgets (Settings → Trips & Events). A trip or event can also go without a limit and just count what was spent. Tap a budget or an insight to see what’s behind it, month by month. Insights adds a payments checklist that includes your recurring payments. Search has its own screen and finds by tags, trips, events, debts and more, typos and all. Pay a debt back in parts: pick Debt instead of a category, and the debt counts what has been paid. Recurring payments show the company’s logo, or an icon, emoji or picture you choose. Suggested regular payments you don’t want can be dismissed for good. Transfers: when your bank notifies both sides of a transfer between your own accounts, the two become one transfer to check. A new transfer asks for both accounts on one screen, and both amounts can be typed, so the bank’s rate or fee is kept as it was. A payment logged from your bank’s notification keeps the bank’s words apart from your own note. Themes named after cats: Pusik, Siri, Tadeusz & Kastuś and Una. Switching is instant, with stronger contrast. Apple Watch: approve pending payments, add a note by dictation, delete an entry, and log from Control Center, the Smart Stack or the Action button. The watch app opens faster and now needs watchOS 26. Plus fixes.
