About How to Dad: Fatherhood Guide
Fatherhood does not need more noise. It needs the right move at the right time. How to Dad gives fathers practical guidance from pregnancy and birth through the newborn years and age five. KNOW WHAT TO DO TODAY • A daily move matched to the pregnancy week or child's age • Concrete ways to support your partner and child • Stage progress, milestones, and practical checklists SOURCED SUPPORT FOR THE FIRST YEAR • 35 topics for ages 0–12 months, with age and topic filters and search • Save guides and follow links to their sources • Try sample scenarios at 0, 2, 6, 9, and 12 months without changing your family's records PLAY TOGETHER AND FIND WHAT WORKS • Keep favorite activities together in Our games • Record the same game on different days, undo today's play, and see when you last played • Mark games as liked or for later • Get a daily game suggestion on suitable days, based on age, history, and preferences • Try a smaller starting step after difficult days, or return to the regular daily step STAY CLEAR WHEN THINGS GET HARD • Dad Mode turns a situation into an actionable plan with only the questions that matter • Birth Center keeps the bag, route, care team, and readiness in one place • Contraction timer with Live Activities on supported devices • First 14 Nights helps you build, hand over, and complete a night shift • Save and reuse an Outing Bag checklist; draft a night care note by voice on supported devices and review it before saving OWN THE WORK TOGETHER • Family Handoff gives invisible household work a clear owner • Partner Check-In records how both parents are doing • Checklists, saved guides, and a visible record of progress ASK, THEN SEE THE SOURCE The Dad Guide matches questions to authored local guidance with visible sources. If it cannot find a matching guide, it says so. Questions and answers do not require an account or a remote AI server. PRIVATE BY DEFAULT There are no accounts, ads, tracking, or analytics. Family details, chats, and progress stay on the device. Export or permanently delete your data at any time. How to Dad works in English, Turkish, and Spanish. Stage, Today's Move, and Outing Bag widgets bring useful information to the Home Screen. Use Shortcuts to open your bag or start a night shift. Local reminders follow your chosen days and time. How to Dad is an educational parenting guide. It does not provide an individual diagnosis or treatment or replace a doctor, midwife, or other qualified health professional. Consult your care team about medical decisions. In an emergency, call your local emergency number without waiting for the app.
