Voice Recorder: Tapedeck

A voice recorder that never loses your recording. Most recorders build the file when you press stop. If the app is killed, the battery dies or the screen locks at the wrong moment, that file was never written. Tapedeck writes continuously instead: every few seconds the audio on disk is already a complete, playable recording. Kill it at any moment and what you recorded is still there, waiting on the next launch. FREE, FOREVER • Recording of any length, with no limit on how many • Autosave every 1, 3 or 10 seconds, your choice • Recovery after a crash or a dead battery • Keeps going through the lock screen and other apps • Playback, markers, folders, rename, audio export • Light and dark PRO • Transcripts, made on this device • Search inside your recordings, by word • Export as text, Markdown or SRT • Three more theme colours The first transcript is free, so you can see what it produces before you decide. PRIVATE BY DEFAULT There is no account. No sign-up, no email, no password. Recordings, transcripts and settings live on your phone, and transcription runs on the device, so recording, playback and transcription make no network requests at all. Pro is a yearly subscription with a free trial for new subscribers, or a one-time purchase. Recording is never behind either of them.
