About Lilies: Devotional for Women
Five minutes, before the house wakes up. A verse taken straight from Scripture, a reflection on the week you are actually having, a short prayer, and one small thing to do. Then you are finished, and tomorrow there is another. Every morning The verse comes first, on a page of its own. Under it, a reflection of around two hundred words that stays on your life instead of drifting into theology. Then a prayer, which says who it is talking to. Then one action small enough to do before you put the phone down. A line to write, if you want to write one. There are 365 of them, one for every morning of the year, and everyone reads the same one on the same day. Nothing piles up while you are away. Seasons, for the week you are in Twenty-seven of them and 682 readings, and they are not all the same length: a week on rest, a fortnight on joy, thirty mornings on grief, forty for Lent. Some are for a week that is hard. Anxiety, shame, loneliness, heartbreak, grief, comparison, singleness, marriage, the fourth trimester, wanting a child and not having one, your body. Some are not. Gratitude for an ordinary week, the months before a birth, friendship, motherhood, rest, the women of Scripture, and fourteen sentences Jesus said to a woman. Advent, Lent, the new year and Thanksgiving arrive in their own part of the year and leave again. Join one on any morning. Leave it on any other. Your place is kept if you come back, and there is no schedule to fall behind on, because a season here was never a course you enrolled in. The whole Bible, offline All 66 books, in the World English Bible or the King James Version, switched with one tap. Both are public domain, so nothing here is paraphrased to dodge a licence. Tap a verse to highlight it, write a note on it, or set it on a card and send it to a friend. Every verse you highlight collects on one screen, in the order the books come in rather than the order you found them. Your notes come back The line you write at the end of a reading does not disappear into a journal you never reopen. It lands in your notes with the verse it was answering, and opening it opens that morning's reading again. Ask A place to ask the thing you would not raise out loud in a room. Your body, your singleness at an age nobody planned for, a marriage nobody knows is tired. It answers from Scripture, and every verse it shows you is looked up by reference in the text already on your phone. It is not a therapist and it is not a priest. What this app will not do No verse here was ever written by a machine. Every quotation is looked up by chapter and verse in the text bundled with the app, reproduced word for word, and printed with its citation under it. Nothing here promises you an outcome, speaks for God, or asks which church you go to. It counts the mornings you keep, and that number never resets. There is nothing to catch up on. Private by default The readings live on the phone, so your morning works with no signal. What you write stays on the device. There is no account to create. About the name "Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They don’t toil, neither do they spin." Matthew 6:28, World English Bible. One in five women in the United States is Scripture-engaged, against fifteen percent of men, and women have led men on this for as long as it has been measured (American Bible Society, State of the Bible 2026). If the intention has been there and the habit has not, that is what this is for. Subscription Lilies costs $49.99 a year with the first seven days free, or $6.99 a week. Prices are in US dollars and vary by country; your local price is shown above. Payment is charged to your Apple ID when the free week ends. It renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the period ends, and you can manage or cancel it any time in your Apple ID settings.
