About Women in History
Women in History brings overlooked women out of the footnotes and into the story. Explore the lives and work of women across science, medicine, film, scholarship, invention, and more. Each profile is designed to be engaging without sacrificing historical rigor. Read illustrated story chapters, test what you learned with short quizzes, save women to revisit later, and open the Receipts section to see the sources behind the story. Women in History launches with five remarkable women: Wang Zhenyi, Alice Guy-Blaché, Marthe Gautier, Mariam al-Asturlabi, and Zelia Nuttall — with more stories to come. History is bigger than the version most of us were taught.
