About Dozeling: Baby Monitor
Two iPhones you already own become a private baby monitor. Leave one by the cot and keep the other with you: you hear the room live, and when it gets loud you get an alert with the five seconds that set it off. No extra hardware. No account. No ads. SETTING IT UP 1. Install Dozeling on both iPhones. 2. On the phone that will stay by the cot, choose "This phone stays with the baby". It shows a QR code. 3. On your phone, choose "This phone comes with me" and scan that code, or type it in. Sound and picture are encrypted end to end between your two phones (WebRTC, DTLS-SRTP). We never record them, and nothing on our side can read what they carry. WHAT THE FREE MONITOR DOES - Live room audio through the night, with your screen locked - Noise alerts in five sensitivity steps, measured against that room's own background rather than a fixed volume - A five-second replay of exactly what raised the alert - Hold to talk back into the room - The cot phone's battery on your screen, and a warning before it runs out - Reconnects by itself after a network hiccup, warns you after two minutes and says plainly when it has given up - Session history: this morning's report and the last seven days - Works over Wi-Fi or mobile data, in the next room or across town DOZELING PREMIUM - OPTIONAL, AND HERE IS EXACTLY WHAT IT COVERS Premium is a subscription, monthly or yearly, each starting with a seven-day free trial. There is also a one-off "forever" purchase if you would rather pay once. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel them in your Apple Account settings. Premium adds: - The video preview. Looking into the room is a Premium feature in its entirety - the free monitor is sound only. Premium also lets you light the room for a moment. - Smart cry recognition. A model that runs on the cot phone itself is trained to tell a real cry from a cough, a passing car or a dog. It arrives switched off; you turn it on at the cot. Without it, any sound loud enough raises the alert. - A sleep sound: soft brown noise at the cot for half an hour. It goes quiet on every alert and comes back once the room has been quiet again. - The whole history - up to 90 sessions kept on the phone, plus a week-to-week trend. - Up to three parent phones on one cot phone. The free monitor pairs one. The camera runs only while you are actually looking and closes the moment you stop. The picture is never recorded. HONEST ABOUT WHAT IT IS NOT Dozeling never switches the microphone on by itself: you start each watch on the cot phone. That phone then stays unlocked on its night screen, dimmed to 5% and showing a clock. Locking it ends the watch, and iOS will not run a camera in the background. Keep both phones on their chargers for a whole night. Alerts arrive as Time Sensitive notifications - the strongest level iOS gives an app. It is not a guarantee: a Focus mode can still hold one back, and no app gets past the phone's silent switch. Dozeling does not pretend otherwise. Dozeling helps you listen and look. It is not a medical device, it does not watch breathing, movement or any vital sign, and no monitor can promise to catch every sound. PRIVACY No ads and no data selling. The monitor works signed out, so nothing asks you to register. A Dozeling account is optional and exists for one reason: to carry a Premium purchase to a second phone that signs in with a different Apple Account. What’s new
Version 2.35.0 · Updated October 7, 2026
Dozeling now speaks German, and it tells you sooner when a watch has stopped working. • German. The whole app is now available in German, next to English and Polish. It follows the language of your iPhone. • If the app on your phone stops listening — it crashed, or it was swiped away — the warning no longer comes just once. It repeats after 2, 3, 5, 9 and 15 minutes, then stops. • The cot phone can now raise the alarm itself. If it has been trying to reach you for fifteen minutes and got nothing back, it sends you a notification over the internet, which does not depend on the app still running on your phone. A Focus mode or the silent switch can still hold it back. Tapping it starts listening again. • The listening screen tells you where the room's sound is playing — speaker, headphones or a car kit — and if the sound leaves your phone while the app is in the background, you get a notification. • The cot phone picks the connection back up when your phone returns, even after it had stopped trying. • Invite a caregiver: in Settings you can now send the App Store link to someone else who looks after your baby. They pair with the code from the cot phone, just like you. • After a good night, Dozeling may ask for a rating — once, in the morning, through the standard iOS dialog. Never during a watch.
