About YoMoo: Japanese Reading

Read real Japanese news and books at your JLPT level, and look up any word with one tap. YoMoo sorts articles from N5 to N1, so you can find something you can actually read. WHAT YOU CAN READ Simplified news for N5 and N4, native news for N3 to N1, practice passages for each JLPT level, and classic literature from Aozora Bunko. You can also paste your own text, import a text file, or scan a printed page with your camera. TAP ANY WORD A built-in Japanese tokenizer splits every sentence into words, so you never guess where one ends. Tap a word to see its dictionary form, reading, meaning and JLPT level. Furigana shows over every kanji, or only over words you have not learned yet. BUILD VOCABULARY FROM WHAT YOU READ Every word you look up is saved, sorted by JLPT level. Search, filter and remove words in bulk, with undo if you slip. REVIEW WITH SPACED REPETITION Saved words become flashcards that come back just before you would forget them, plus a quiz mode to test recall. LISTEN AND SHADOW Text-to-speech reads articles aloud with the current word highlighted, at a speed you set. Repeat each line after it to practise shadowing. TRANSLATE A PAGE (BETA) For text you paste or import, YoMoo can translate one page into English. Translations are saved on your device, so you never pay for the same page twice. YoMoo is for learners from beginner (N5) to advanced (N1) who want to learn Japanese from real writing instead of textbook drills. AD-FREE SUBSCRIPTION YoMoo is free with ads and a limit of 5 free articles. The optional Ad-Free subscription, monthly or annual, removes all ads and the article limit, and includes 5 free page translations a day. Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Manage or cancel it anytime in your Apple ID account settings.
